Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe requested a bathtub, which was fulfilled... but there was no hot water during our honeymoon stay. THAT really was disappointing. One other disappointment that I believe you should let guests know in advance of arrival: We were staying in New York for one night, checking out the next day with a flight later that night. There was a typed sign on the front desk stating the hotel couldn't store luggage for more than an hour. Honestly, we booked a hotel (instead of an AirBNB) for the amenities *as well as* being able to leave our luggage for a few hours before our flight and go out for a long meal. In all of my travels, I've never experienced not being able to leave luggage at a hotel for the day. I think it's pretty poor service on the hotel's part not to offer that OR at least tell the customer up front on the booking page before they decide to book so they can decide whether or not they want to seek accomodations that can provide that expected resource.
Loved the rooftop and location! Also was provided a late checkout for our honeymoon, which was nice.

United KingdomThe rooms didn't have refrigerators, and the ice machine on our floor was broken. We were there 4 nights and were told room service came every other day, but they didn't ever come by. The area is good, but the walk to the nearest subway station was a little long.
The staff was friendly, the rooftop patio had amazing views, the room was clean, and breakfast was good. The area is nice, with lots of convenience stores, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, I would recommend this hotel because it's was reasonably priced for the area.

United KingdomThe only con we experienced with regards to the location of this hotel is that the ability to travel back with public transport is very limited around midnight.
Hotel and the room we had was a very good value for money. The staff in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We particularly liked the bed which assured we had great night sleep. We also liked that there was a facility to use computer and could print out our boarding passes. Furthermore, we enjoyed the breakfast which was basic for a 3 star hotel, but still enjoyable.

PolandThe breakfast is ok but not very varied. I didn't like the fact that they use one-time plastic and paper utensils for breakfast - enormous amounts of waste produced everyday. Why not choose reusable utensils and cutlery in the 21st century? This is the only but serious downside.
The hotel is all a traveller needs. It is located close to public transportation, with connections to different parts of Manhattan and whole NYC. The room is comfy, the staff members are nice. the overall experience is ok.

The room was nice, clean and well equipped. The rooftop was amazing, only pity is they should make better use of it, may be more seating and a bar/snacks option will make it a perfect space!

BelgiumBreakfast: always hard to find a place; often products missing, had to wait for them to be refilled; people who seemed not to be residents were accepted for breakfast: every day, staying there long, and leaving with a full bag... while residents were striving for an available table. Always poor people hanging aroung on 4th Av close to Atlantic station, they did not give a safety feeling...
New hotel and installations; terrass on top and its view; room equipment, conforot and technical state; good bed. a few restaurants on the streets around; close to metro Atlantic main station (15 min walk) , or to Union (10 min).
