The cabin was very dated. The floor was not level and sank to one side. There was a 1 inch gap below the front door. Bed was very uncomfortable and sagged in the middle. Relatively clean but not worth the price.

The location was amazing. You could see the national park sign from the parking lot.

The cabins are crying out for a bit of TLC and re-design. Carpets and furnishings are worn. The heating and WiFi are eccentric but basically work.

Located right by the entrance to Mt Rainier National Park, the motel deserves its name. It is also near the outstanding Vopper Kettle restaurant where we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner (but closes at 7.00pm). Our "cabin" was large and, usefully as we were battling jet lag, had two comfortable beds in separate rooms. Parking was right in front of the cabin.

The cabin wasn't actually that comfortable and had no internet...so we were glad to be moved into the motel.

When we arrived, we were dismayed that the cabin we reserved didn't have internet. The provider said that the bill had not been paid. However, the owner moved us to a room inside the motel that did have internet. We were first frustrated to have paid more for a cabin, but the room was actually nicer than the cabin in our opinion.

3 coffee pots had coffee with mold in it, all coffee pots smelled of mold. 1 room had no refrigerator.

The parking lot was very snowy and muddy (no one’s fault, obviously!!) but as I drove in, my car got stuck in front of the cabin. We loved having the key to our room early, but it also meant no one was in the office, therefore no one to pick the phone either when trying to ask for help or advice. There was an emergency phone number on the door that we tried calling 6 times but no one picked up - so I’m happy it wasn’t too big of an emergency. We ended up having to walk up the street in the snow and a neighbor helped us. There is also barely any cell reception around the hotel and no phone in the room either, so trying to call anyone was pretty tough.

The room itself was very nice, we had 2 queen beds which was perfect. The entrance to Mount Rainier NP was right there, we could literally see it from our window which made it very easy to get in and out. We arrived way before check in time and we got a phone call before hand saying that the door to our room would be unlocked and the key would be in there, which made it very easy when we got there.

WiFi didn't work in our cabin, the modem was 3 cabins away. They were able to move us after one night.

Supply a bath mat and a jug to boil water. We are encouraged to contact the venue by email but there has been no response to any I have sent. Accidentally I left a few items at our cabin (totally my fault). I emailed asking if they had been found and if they could be forwarded to me (I offered to pay costs and effort). I have not received a reply, even to say that they could not be sent.

The location so close to the NP entrance was great. The staff allowed me to do washing even though they do not have a guest laundry. The bed was comfortable.

I could not connect to wifi, on my phone or my laptop. The password just did not work, and I tried several times. And I had no cell service in my room. But I got there after dark from the park, and I left in the morning.

Knowing that we are deep in the woods and although this is truly an ideal location right outside the park, for the price paid certain amentities are expected. The wifi never worked, the TV was not working which we discovered was due to the cable box being disconnected, only two towels/handtowels were provided for four guests and no bathmat. There was also an extensive amount of cobwebs throughout. One can expect a tent camping morning as you will be clearly hearing all of your neighbors as they prepare for their day.

Amazing location right outside of the entrance to Olympic National Park! Very friendly and warm staff. Greatly appreciated them calling to check in on arrival time and providing after hours check in instructions as well as leaving the lights on since we arrived after dark. It was a fun experience to stay in a rustic log cabin and we loved the idea of having a wood burning fire place. Despite cold temperatures we were nice and warm inside without any added heat source.
