The history and style of the hotel. it was beautiful.

Room service food, restaurants, and bars are a little overpriced in my opinion, and they don’t service complimentary breakfast, for example an espresso is 3x more expensive than the coffee shops right across the street. We stayed 5 nights so we ended up eventually just eating out.

Such an amazing vintage hotel. Loved the vide, the pool, the location, the staff: especially bellboys, housekeeping, valets, and room service staff. Everyone was so kind, fun, laid back, and helpful. Just an amazing group of people!

The hotel has more of a party-scene vibe in the later afternoon/evening --- which is completely expected given the location- but maybe doesn't fit a family as well. Because it is an old building with small low-capacity elevators- it can be challenging to get on an elevator if you are on a middle floor.

We found the hotel to be beautiful and the staff absolutely superb! Each and every staff member that we related with were helpful and friendly. The building and pool grounds were beautiful, the breakfast at the cafe by the pool delicious and our rooms were petite, delightful spaces that were clean and comfortable. It definitely had a glamorous and classic feel.

We have stayed at the Roosevelt many times. Unfortunately, the attitudes of the Valet staff is very offputting. Mostly the older gentleman with the beard, but it appears to be the culture amongst the Valet staff. As a take away, perhaps consider reminding the valet staff that they are the first point of contact when guests arrive, and should make guests feel welcome then, and throughout their visit. (it is also an issue when we walk in from the street during our stays). Being confronted with such arrogance and rudeness is a buzz kill and has us considering finding a different hotel for future visits to the area.

With the exception of your Valet staff, the entire stay and staff is great.

Bed was hard, room was noisy. Had to call front desk a couple times about the noise. Turns out there was a speaker hidden within the foliage of our patio that was pumping music like we were in a nightclub well past midnight ! They had to send security to investigate and eventually turn it off

Beds were small and room was very sparse. There was no hairdryer and the front desk said they would send one up but never did.

Pool was great but hard to get a place to sit. Loved the lobby and the staff was very nice.

The hotel is a bit old and outdated. Would say it's a bit over-prized because of that, but hey, you're staying in a famous hotel on the Hollywood Boulevard and the vibe is great.

Loved the hotel; location is great for doing touristy stuff and super nice to hang by the pool after a full day of walking. The bars are very nice, especially the "secret" one with bowling alley.

The valet charged my Tesla and left the charging port plugged in after 100% charged for over 24 hours, damaging the battery. Extremely damaging. When asked about this, I was told that "it is never a problem," completely disregarding the issue. I cannot believe that this was not even apologized for or acknowledged as an issue. I aim to be considerate of people, and do not want people in trouble if they do not know, and they are trying their best. Therefore would not want to ask for compensation for this; I'd deal with it on my own (thinking that things just happen). However, I was surprised to be told they were right and I was wrong as a guest and, more importantly, the vehicle owner. The property was extremely loud, and I was amazed by this, also. All night people were knocking on doors and making noise up and down the halls, and when car alarms were going off, you could hear them. The insulation was poor, there was a huge gap under the slim door, and there was no consideration for quiet hours. The service for dining at the pool could have been faster. Everyone commented about this. I was fine, though; I just commented, "Hey, it isn't Mcdonald's." I only want to ensure you don't come extremely hungry and expect service promptly. It will be a wait to get a server. ;). The food is great. I had a swim day planned, and I was very excited (it is a fantastic pool, which is why we came), and a camera crew came in for a photo shoot next to my daughter and me and took over the space. This was fairly rude. They apologized, yet the hotel staff prioritized the group. We left since they used our space as part of their equipment stands. I told them all this and would gladly give a proper review if comped or discounted, but this may be standard for them. I'd stay again if things improved, yet I have to be honest regarding what is great and not as much. There are so many beautiful and unique things about this hotel. <3

The valet parking at the hotel is pricey

Beautiful historic location with old Hollywood glam. The location is alongside the Hollywood walk of fame, TCL theatre as well as the Dolby theatre. The in-room ammenities are well thought of and a real treat. Loved Rosy's cafe on the premises! Hotel has a wonderful evening line up with old black and white movie screenings and much more.

This is a lovely old hotel right in the middle of the most famous section of Hollywood Blvd. It is a historic building but the atmosphere is unpretentious and friendly. There is a fabulous bar in the lobby and a terrific restaurant at street level. Our room had a great view and was very large and comfortable.

Not much…the hotel is definitely dated and you can tell but it doesn’t take away from my loving it. The one thing I will say is I love that they were able to give us our room early, but there was a lack of communication amongst staff because we had various staff knock on our door to check mini bar or thinking we were the previous guests. Also missing a few things in the bathroom the first night.

Love the location as it’s centrally located for daytime excursions (studio tours, Universal, etc.), and the attentiveness of the staff. Always service with a smile!

The quality of the room doesnt fit the price of it. We expected more generous room.it is a very basic room. But the most annoying thing is the parking fee. It cost 60$ a night- defenatly high price althogh its a valet parking. I would prefer parking my car my self and pay half price.

We had quite a delay getting our room. The hotel did upgrade us though, which was very nice.

Really upscale classic LA hotel. Common areas were grand. Pool area had a sophisticated resort feel. If you are in LA to visit the Hollywood area, this has to be the best place for you. The valet staff was excellent and I recommend it even though the fee is a little high. The front desk staff was efficient but somewhat aloof. The room was gorgeous (a king suite) and huge. The cleanliness of the hotel and room were superb. The hotel restaurants and pool area are very nice and will make you feel like you are a celebrity. Recommended.

Unfortunately the area is a bit run down, with many homeless near by, which is not the fault of the hotel.

Location was great, being opposite the Chinese Theatre and the right on the "walk of fame" and the history of the Oscars and film industry associated with the hotel was very interesting.
