How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The front desk staff was not very friendly or helpful. The house keeping was very friendly and helpful.

The elevators were not operating correctly a few days and our room was on the 6th floor. Lugging our luggage, beach chairs,boogie boards etc. up and down 6 flights of steps was a pain multiple times a day. Parking was also lacking at the property.
The location is great! The pools are in a good location! Room was clean. Staff was friendly.

The wait time for elevator was long since 2/3 elevators were down when we arrived. They did get another one up & running the day before we left. Also, the air conditioner would not get our room any cooler than 71/72.
The rooms were decent and they supplied enough of pillows.

Needs updated, did some updates but definitely needs more. Mold in ac. Tub doesn’t drain, fridge knocks, appliances need updated. Stay here for convenience location and pool room.

The air-conditioning was tricky we had to move the wire on the floor for it to turn on and the sliding door was difficult to open.
Location and easy access to the beach, also very quiet.

Can't think of anything other than air conditioning really old and poor settings
Atmosphere was fun and relaxed. Great location on the boardwalk and Coastal Salt is the best beach restaurant around!

We did not like that the property only had one working elevator out of three. There was a sign on the elevator that stated something like -Otis elevator has not responded to our request for maintenance. No estimated time of completion available. When transporting luggage and strollers up the stairs this was very inconvenient. The second thing we did not love was that children are allowed in the hot tub, when adults would like to get in kids are in and out constantly.
We enjoyed the amenities ie, outdoor pool and bar. The location to everything was very helpful in not having to drive anywhere for food or coffee.

Our room was falling apart. The screen door was off cracks and holes and the fan in the bathroom was half way off the ceiling.
Love that it’s on the boardwalk and near restaurants and on the beach! Plus very nice staff. Nice hotel for a trip

Slow elevators. I understand there was issues with them during my stay though. Many flies in my room, didn't bother me just annoying.

One of the elevators was broken. Long wait times building could use a remodeling
3 huge beautiful pools and a hot tub!!!! The outside bar is nice. The beds are comfortable

The bathroom flushed all day, all night by itself. The elevator were out of order. I had to use the steps to and from the 4th floor.

The room was definitely not cleaned well. Had to ask for towels and wash clothes everyday. Come on 3 adults and 3 kids were given 4 towels and washcloths. Should monitor indoor pool and spa better one day there was a group of probably 10 kids misbehaving and not a single adult with any of them. Water bottles found behind nightstand one with a pill in it not impressed since we had little kids with us. Blinds are definitely aged and very difficult to open and clothes.

No manager at the POOL ! The guess or outsiders would save table and chairs at 8 am. Not used them in till 4 pm managers Not there to OVERSEE !!

I wish I could afford more time away. The first room that we were given had been smoked in. The staff when notified and gave us a different room a few rooms down from the original, It worked out great!
