No real issues for me. The view out of my window was a concrete roof below. However - if i wanted a view I would have paid more, so not really a complaint.

Excellent location with the Riverwalk, Magnificent Mile and many restaurants within easy walking distance. Room and bathroom were both of a good size, with microwave and fridge included. I arrived at midnight and the self-check-in was simple with a concierge on hand to guide you through any concerns.

There is a laundry facility for guests which was really nice to have but it’s always in use by hotel stall for beddings curtains wash cloths rags and blankets. Really hope the facility is indeed for guest use.

The location, the room size and the River view. Will definitely book again on my next trip. Bed was comfortable. Polite staff.

I didn't like the attitude of one of the front desk managers. I didn't like the fact that the room was cold and we had to ask for a space heater. Then got accused of already having one, like I was lying.

Rooms are little bit old (furnitures and bathroom installations are worn out).

Location is perfect; it's located by the riverside right in front of the Trump's Tower in downtown. everything is walking distance.

Building is old and you can feel it in the design and the cleanliness. Carpet feels dusty and in the bathroom and room itself you can see it lacks of deep cleaning. AC didn’t work. There were moments I felt chilled but it didn’t work. Luckily it wasn’t a very cold time in Chicago. Price is quite high. I would expect better conditions and standards for that price.

Location is very good. It has a very good view of the river. But the window is small and you need to go stand in front of the mirror to see it :( bed and pillows were very comfortable. Check in was easy and the staff was helpful. There was room cleaning everyday.

The only issue was that in the morning while we were out for breakfast, our room was "somehow" checked out of and all the contents of our room were packed up and put at reception.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a stellar location. Everything was in walking distance.

Location is superb.close to everywhere. Free coffee machine on 2nd floor is awesome. And also there are water taps on some floors. Our room was big enough for 2 and clean . I definetely recommend River hotel.

In the first room we had the bathroom faced the bedroom and coz was frosted glass meant that every time through night the light was on still lit up main room. If bathroom facing the bedroom better to have darker door. Second room the bathroom faced a diff direction so wasn’t an issue.

Staff were friendly and helpful when TV wasn’t working moved us to a different room. Having water bottles was great and laundry facilities.

The room was compact but again we spent very little time in the room so wasn't an issue overall.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is absolutely phenomenal for the price we paid (about 100 dollars less per night than any other hotel in the vicinity). We spent very little time in the hotel which worked for us. The facilities are great for the price including complimentary water beside the elevator.

When we were checking in, they offered to change our room to one with a river view. It is very well located since we were a couple of blocks or train stations to every place we planned to visit. The room was small but it was everything we needed.
