Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Also they only had a Nespresso machine for hot water so making a decent cup of tea was impossible as the water wasn't warm enough - a kettle would have been appreciated. There was lots of wardrobe space but not many hangers and hardly any drawer space to store clothes.
The room was spacious and very clean. The location was excellent. The bed was fabulously comfortable.

GermanyAlthough I was on a higher floor, I was still directly looking at a parking garage. I would come back if a room with river view was available. If I stood directly at the window, I was able to see the river, though.
Welcoming staff, beautiful and well-appointed rooms, and a prime location if you want to get to the river quickly. The view in the lobby is stunning, and I could have spent hours just exploring the unique art on every floor. The Langham delivers what it promises: luxury.

United KingdomWe booked a room with two beds, capacity of 4 people (3 used the room). Unfortunately, the beds were far too small for 2 adults, we are average sized (5ft 9in & 5ft 7in, both normal range BMI) so I don't know how bigger/taller couples would manage in them. This is disappointing, considering the cost of the room.
The location of the hotel is exceptional, very central for access to all Chicago has to offer. The bar is very comfortable with fabulous views over the river and the staff are plentiful and very attentive. Our room was lovely and quiet with a very well equipped bathroom (inc bath). As you'd expect, the fixtures and fittings throughout are all top end and in beautiful condition. My husband's suitcase was damaged beyond repair during the inbound flight, the staff at The Langham disposed of the broken suitcase without fuss, which greatly reduced our stress levels and made a huge difference to our stay.
