It's more of a small community close to Warren PA, but Warren has a very nice little downtown area for shopping and restaurants, also good architecture. We also ate at fantastic little restaurant called The Train Station, which I highly recommend for breakfast.

There's not a lot of "night life" in Clarendon but during the day there's several state Parks and the Alleghany State Forest all around you. If you enjoy hiking and the fall foliage there's plenty of both here. The roads in the area are well paved and maintained but some attractions are kinda out of the way so a GPS is always a good idea. Remember that you're way out in God's Country and finding some of the amenities you're accustomed to may take 15-30 minutes to get to. All in all it's a beautiful area with lots of nice people.

It's right inside Allegheny National Forest, so there's a lot of hiking to be done. As we both enjoy the outdoors, if we could have stayed longer, we would have loved to explore more trails. Sadly we only had time to walk three. As you can see by the photos I've included, fall is definitely a breathtakingly beautiful time to visit. The Johnny Appleseed Festival in Sheffield just a few minutes drive away was fun, and so was walking out along skywalk of the Kinzu Viaduct. There's a very cute museum there as well, with lots of interactive exhibits.

Typical town from an area that flourished in an earlier time times of oil drilling and timer harvesting. It is now quiet and on a slow downward slide, but there are towns nearby like Warren and Kane are close by for good restaurants.
