Years ago we felt safe coming to Las Vegas with our family (small children), used to stay at a resort and enjoyed the place during the day and part of the night. Now Las Vegas has gone wild, too many weed consumers all around, everything smells like smoked weed, and intoxicated people walking around on the streets. We did not feel safe during our last stay and will probably not come back ever again for family vacations.

Death Valley, the Mob museum and The Sphere were the three best tours that I did in Las Vegas. I did not appreciate the very high prices on the Strip. I think that the Resort Fees is a big rip off. However, I would still highly recommend visiting Las Vegas to my friends and I think that (Baily's) now called the Horseshoe is an excellent well located hotel.

Vegas is not for kids. Daytime, fine. Fun places, things to see. But after 7pm watch out! I appreciate that the guys handing out stripper cards didn't give any to my 6ft tall 14yr old son. But the girls on the Strip (pretending to be showgirls? Please! Showgirls are athletes!) kept stopping me (female) and my son (we went to a late comedy show or he wouldn't have been out late at all). It was annoying. Ladies, I'm walking with a kid. Maybe just let me keep walking?

There is a lot to do besides partying and gambling. There are plenty of other activities around the city, and plenty of free options as well. It is a very fun place to be and definitely worth a visit. There are also a lot of outdoor adventures you can do with a little drive out! Highly recommend exploring all your options, you will find something you like to do.

If you have never been to Las Vegas then I would recommend...

If you have never been to Las Vegas then I would recommend going but make sure you research the place before; go into the top hotels, catch a show or two etc. Having been to Vegas 8 times in the last 19 years we had always thought that we had received value for money up until our last visit; we stayed at Ceasars Palace & everything was over priced & expensive (i.e. StarBucks coffee was twice the price that we pay in Canada & restaurants, fast food & alcohol are 2 or 3 times the price). The best shows are expensive but are normally discounted - most theatres are only half full with last call tickets not being offered. So Vegas is now VERY expensive (too expensive) & is no longer a choice for us for a short fun break.

I stayed at 4 different hotels & resorts in Vegas, and this was the cheapest, it was the nicest of them all, and has wonderful amenities and staff. The fitness room has plenty of machines and free weights, as well as treadmills and other cardio machines. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The parking is free and very accessible. The location is just a brisk walk to the middle of the Las Vegas strip. Will definitely be returning here again

The view of the mountains and it was just far enough away from the strip but not too far. It was very beautiful. The maid service was amazing as well. We also lost our wallet and it was returned with everything in it. We absolutely loved this place. All the restaurants were top notch , service was fantastic. We felt this was the best place to stay in Las Vegas and plan to come back any time we are in Vegas to stay at this hotel.

Fantastic location in centre of the Las Vegas strip, close to attractions and monorail, yet slightly off the main boulevard so it's not too noisy. Great value compared to other hotels. Room was very big and comfortable. Loved the shower pressure and spacious bathroom. Staff are friendly and doing their utmost best with the huge volume of guests. Bell desk service was great. You get a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. You could easily stay with a family in this room designed for two. The room was super clean as well. We had a late night arrival into Las Vegas and did not want to stay on the strip. This location was perfect for us, it was close to the highway, but far enough away that you did not hear traffic all night long. The hotel was clean, beds comfortable and had shopping close by to stock up on supplies for our 2 week trip to the national parks.
