The next day we stayed at chalet and it was so much better, really recommend to choose this option. Private hot tubs - very relaxing. Location - close enough to Hobbiton and it's own hot springs, not crowded at almost any time. Bar open till late.

Lovely hot spring pools just a 300m walk down a track through the trees. The continental buffet breakfast was great, the friend's cakes are delicious. The corridor in the main hotel is beautiful.

The golf course was fun to play on, and the hot pools were relaxing, even in the rain.The staff were very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed both the restaurant and the bar food. Good road links to Rotorua, Taupo etc only 20 min drive to Hobbiton. The breakfast provided with Julie was amazing. Communication with her was very fast and efficient. Recommended +++++

The changing room and the toilet down at the hot springs were nothing special but clean and functional. Our Queen Room in the heritage wing was spacious and clean with a nice rustic charm. Nice continental breakfast as in the description, especially the fresh baked scones and muffins were really tasty. Food at the bar in the afternoon was great and really large portions.
