Very convenient location to stay a few days in Basel. A little bit out of the centre of Basel, but excellent access to the city using public transport, which comes for free with the guest card. Covered free parking across the road. This must be the 4th time we have stayed here. Very friendly staff.

The Hotel Balegra is situated on the outer ring of Basel, 8 minutes from the Basel SBB Train Station by tram number 8. The city centre and the fairgrounds are reachable in 15 minutes by tram.

Loved the coffee/tea supply. The coffee tasted great. The room is nice and cosy, the shampoo smells nice. Cool design touches in the hallway. Bus stop right at the entrance. Bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants 5 Minutes walk away.

Owner was very accomodating and allowed us an extra hour of check out time due to needing the internet. Also, owner went out of his way to get online and secure for us the Basel Card which offered us free bus and discount musuem.
