THis facility is EXCELLENT!!! What a dream of a place to relax and vacation. Mother Nature provided rain for many days but we were comfortable, well taken are of and enjoyed the clean indoor pool and sauna. Gorgeous grounds, fantastic breakfast and afternoon "Kaffee und Kuchen" with delights backed by Margareta (the owner) herself. This is a family operated hotel and restaurant and we were truly spoiled. They all went above and beyond helping us (when our rental car would not start), catered to our needs for our 93 year old mother and were always kind, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the property called the Mostschenke im Heustadl and provides a five star Austrian experience in dining. The family has been on this property since the 1600's and have up-dated and built the hotel in the last ten - twelve years. The Mostschenke is the renovated cattle barn and it a delightful venue for dining. The Hotel is clean, bright and the two bedroom chalet suite is a dream for a family vacation. We stayed here for two days. The first thing I'd like to say is that everything was very clean. Even the obviously old items were clean and bright. We really enjoyed that. Our room overlooked the river and mountains, and it was truly breathtaking. The room was cleaned and the towels changed on our second day. The breakfast, included in the price, was very good. The omelets were especially delicious. The staff were very friendly and helped us with anything that would make our trip easier. If you're traveling by car, the property has parking. The location is a reasonable distance from Hallstatt. If you're looking for a place to stay in this area, I definitely recommend this place.

The excellent location of the accommodation made it possible to make trips to the nearby mines, as well as to the Alps. It was nice to return "home" for a full day's hike. Even though the accommodation is located next to the railway, the sound of the train could not be heard. If we come to the same corners of Austria, we will primarily look for this accommodation, it was so good.

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed at Haus Roith for several days. The accommodation was really excellent, we were on the upper floor of the haus and there was a lot of space, comfortable bads and all required facilities. Mountain view from the windows and terrace was also quite amazing. The owner and the hostess were very attentive and helpful.

Great location not far from the lake. It is a sleepy town but it is a good place to stay for a night before moving on. There is a car park attached to the Gasthof which is handy. Our room was a good size and had everything we needed. Breakfast was laid out for us when we came down in the morning. Breakfast is as basic but did the job
