Accommodation in Schmilka

Breakfast and dinner were great, but dinner was a bit expensive.

I can't say good enough things about this place. Lovely location, looks straight out of a movie. Super comfortable room and bed, with the cutest balcony. You open the window and hear the water in the stream. The sauna was great. The dinner and breakfast are a 7-minute walk away which is overall lovely (it was a little annoying at night in the dark because I wasn't sure of the way and ended up walking on the road, but you can actually go near the river and it's a much nicer walk). Reception staff were so so nice and helpful, restaurant staff as well. My only complaint is that I should have stayed longer!! I've seen this mentioned but I'll reiterate - breakfast is amazing. So many choices for tea, nutriblenders to make smoothies, oat and almond milk, I was super impressed. I wish there were some croissants but that's a personal preference - there were tons of other bread and cake choices. I loved the 4-course dinner as well. I plan to go back as soon as I can!

Everything was authentic and absolutely decorated with attention to detail. The location is so unique, right in the middle of old restored houses and a mill. All with pure creative attention to detail. So stunning. You. A starts your hike into the woods directly from here … in just a couple minutes your are directly in the woods. The breakfast is also excellent, though you have to walk to the main hotel. All the facilities such as sauna, steam rooms etc are in perfectly new condition.

The place is so beautiful! The whole village plus the rooms in the hotel. We were really amazed, got so relaxed. It was truly magical.

Free breakfast was awesome and generous. Dinners at the hotel restaurant were delicious and priced very well. Staff were awesome and accomodating.

The location is amazing, and the house is gorgeous and very well equipped. The kitchen has everything you need, the beds and really comfortable and family Wiening are really friendly and went out of their way to make our trip a happy and smooth one. Ferienhaus Sonnenblick fit our needs perfectly.

i was so happy to find out that my 5th stage of Malerweg ends just in front of the Alte Schule. Robin came 5 min after the phone call. He showed me everything, even gave me advice for my hiking trip on the next day, which i followed /thank's/. The room was clean, warm and quiet. All my room mates were very friendly and tidy /thank's/. there was a towel, hairdryer, a lamp and socket next to the bed, black curtains, comf. bed. despite that we were six persons I slept perfect and when i woke up i could hear the mild sound of the brook under the window /wow/. electric kettle and a great variety of tea for free.

Nice apartment, well equipped kitchen. Clean and quiet. Very close to the start of tracks/ hiking routes.

Thank you so much for this magical stay! Everything was perfect. The Pension is located so conveniently close to all the hiking destinations, also close to the bus station/train station and the river. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, they selected a room for me very thoughtfully and were helpful throughout my check-in process. I had a great peaceful time. Breakfast was very good too. Whenever I will want to come back to the area, I will stay with them!

Robin was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had really great time talking to him. The breakfast was intimate and lovely, where we shared a table with other guests. The location was fantastic, right in the middle of Schmilka.

Located at a beautiful small village in the Saksiche Schweiz. Perfect for doing stages 5 and 6 of the Malerweg

The location is just stunning. The elevated house with a view on the river and the village. The wooden pavilion in front was a perfect spot for dining. The home itself is nicely preserved with a new bathroom. Enjoyed everything about it. Robin is very friendly and helping host!
