Accommodation in Cabarete

The property was beautiful. It was clean, quiet, right on the water, and remarkable sunsets from the restaurant which served delicious food.

It was a super calming environment, very quiet at night along with a big cosy bed meant I got the best nights sleep. The room was very spacious and so was the shower. The breakfast was also tasty and a much needed pick-me-up after surfing in the morning (which is only a 5 minute walk away). Ruben is very hospitable and accommodating, he made me feel very welcome during my stay. Probably my favourite stay after being in the DR for 5 weeks. Had such a good time I extended my stay twice.

It’s such a chilled vibe, so near from the best surf spot. I visited this place twice, 6 years apart and both times I had such a great experience!

This was a little piece of heaven! We honestly thought it would be a scam, as the reviews felt too good to be true. But it is just like the photos - a quiet and beautiful oasis.

I had a great stay! The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The place was easy to find on the main road, and the check-in was very smooth. Henry is a great host, he immediately helped with the few requests I had, so do not hesitate to ask him if you need anything. There is a small shop next door where you can buy fresh fruits and essential groceries. The kite surf club and the beach are just across the street. It is also easy to go to Cabarete center or Encuentro. Overall, it is a great value for money.

This is an amazing hotel on the beach in Cabarete. The staff are really nice and the rooms are clean and spacious. They provided a large water bottle every day and there is a mini fridge (but no coffee maker). Plenty of beach chairs and pool chairs available. Very close to shops and restaurants. Not too noisy. There is even a small gym.

A little more explanation of the extra charges would have been nice. Arriving at 11:00 p.m. at night and just being told what I have to pay, not being explained, would have been more acceptable. Same with check out.... Staff were rude because I didn't know the check out procedure. However, no one explained it to me.

Beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by a tropical garden and with 2 cute swimming pools. The room was clean and looked like the pictures. Breakfast was good and you can make yourself what you like sitting by the pool. There is also a kitchen that guests can use. It is located approximately 20 Min walking to play encuentro, the famous surf beach and the guys from the B&B have a surf school offering classes and renting the material. The best is to combine the stay with surfing!

The receptionist, Kenny, is perfect. Very polite, knows everything, perfect english and very helpful. The location is perfect directly at the beach for kitesurfing or walking at the beach. We had a room with balcony an could see every morning a marvelous sunrise. Thomas

I will start by saying that I've owned and run hotels for a number of years, so I'm not always the easiest customer. And we absolutely loved Viva Tangerine. Firstly the location. I live in DR and I've always thought Cabarete beach is one of the best in the country. The hotel is just a few steps from the beach, the location is perfect We got our stay for an incredibly low rate (under $60 per person per night) and to be honest we weren't expecting much, but everything about this place surpassed our expectations. The highlight was the entertainment / activities team, led by the wonderful Lava Girl. In all my years of travelling I have never seen a group of entertainers who work as hard as these guys. There was something for everyone - a cookery demonstration, a foam party on the beach which was amazing, salsa lessons, trapeze, a show in the theatre. These guys really made our stay super special and created a lovely atmosphere in the hotel. I also want to mention the exceptional service by receptionist Joan, he took great care of us when we arrived and made sure I got the room I wanted. The food was also well cooked, and much better than we expected for what we paid. We had dinner in the speciality restaurants on two of the three nights, and the service and quality of food was on point. One other plus for me was the size of the hotel. It wasn't too big, so you could walk everywhere in a few minutes. I hate these massive all-inclusives where you have to walk 20 minutes to get a drink or go to the beach, Viva Tangerine is a perfect size. I am going to reserve another stay here, definitely one of my favourites.

Rooms, location, staff, atmosphere

Our favorite stay in the DR by far! Property is gorgeous and the staff and guests are both laid back and friendly. Spring for a massage as they are affordable and excellent. Food was great with many options for varied diets. I don’t drink alcohol and really appreciated the delicious mocktail menu. We are a married couple traveling without our kids, but the facility is child- and baby-friendly and all children we saw there were remarkably well-behaved. Our cabana was gorgeous with a great mattress. We loved lazing on the porch with its comfy hammock. We didn’t spend time at the pool with the ocean right there, but it was clean and a comfortable temperature. The property arranged multiple drivers for us, and they were extremely punctual (even in the very early morning) and well worth the cost. Maximo drove us to the waterfalls and dropped us at our next hotel in Puerto Plata afterward, and he was great. Highly recommend!

Cozy, clean rooms, wooden furniture, mosquito nets. Kind staff. Decent quality for the price. Cute lil outside garden with trees, white metal chairs two adorable cats. Great position, incredibly close to the beach!

Everything: the nature place with moutains view, the various food and the cocktails, the cosy bedrooms. What peaceful nature retreat!

The room was new and clean. Fully equiped kitchenett. Close to the pool and beach. Mark is a fantastic host, always aviable, helping, providing great recommondations for activities, food,..! Super host!!

The Location was perfect and the house had everything we needed. The owner was very friendly, gave us advice about the local area and always available for any issues.
