The host was very responsive and timely with information. The apartment was super clean and bright, had all we needed in it. Everything worked out well. Location is super, easy to find and short walk everywhere. Competa E-bike provides great service for bike rental, e-biking strongly suggested to get around in the near area. Real MAP of the area would be great to have as a loaner in the apartment. And maybe some descriptions of the near walks and starting points as well.

We had such a special stay at Hotel Mirador in the mountains of Málaga. The location alone is worth the visit surrounded by nature, with incredible panoramic views and some of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve seen in the region. It’s peaceful, quiet, and perfectly placed for anyone who enjoys hiking, with plenty of scenic routes nearby. What really made the experience stand out was the hospitality. Its family owned and they were genuinely warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay it felt personal in the best way, not transactional. The room was fully equipped, thoughtfully set up, and the bed was extremely comfortable (always a non-negotiable for us). I also needed to work during our stay and the WiFi was strong and reliable, which made a big difference. There are also some great local restaurants nearby, which the hosts recommend, and made the whole experience even better. 10/10 for sure!

We had a wonderful two-week stay in this lovely cottage. The house was cozy, comfortable, and located in a truly beautiful setting with breathtaking views. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything we needed for both a short and a longer stay. It was clean, welcoming, and felt like a home away from home. The hosts were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Communication was easy, and they were always available whenever we needed assistance or information. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay with amazing views. We would be happy to come back in the future!

Hosts, atmosphere, location, roof terrace, bathroom... where should I even start? Everything was perfect: from the tastefully decorated rooms, which give a real Mediterranean vibe, to the well-equiped kitchen (where you can find everything you need to feel immediately at home), or the spacious, luxurious bathroom ... to the sunny terrace with an amazing view - just a dream. And on top the perfect location just a few meters from the church on Calle Real. Not to mention the cleanliness and the quality of the products: 10/10. One can feel that Jose and Cristina have renovated the house with love, keeping its authentic soul alive, and continue to welcome guests there as if they were welcoming them home. We will definitely come back one day soon!

The accommodation offered by Antonio is amazing — it’s located right in the heart of Cómpeta. You immediately feel the charm of the town and it’s truly magical. Antonio’s attitude was exceptional — even though we arrived late, he waited for us until the very end. Since our flight was delayed for quite a while, he quickly found a solution to make sure we could get the keys. What impressed us most was that the next day, after we had already checked out, he found us in a café in the town center just to meet us in person and make sure everything had been fine. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. In conclusion, we’ll definitely be coming back to stay with Antonio again!

Beautifully restored Spanish property which has been decorated to a very high standard. Gorgeous rooms, lounge, kitchen and dining area. Really tasty breakfast, tea, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice provided every morning by the owners, who are truly lovely people. Would definitely stay again, can’t wait to go back!

Almijara Residence feels like a slice of calm right in the soul of Cómpeta. Tucked beside the old church on the lively Plaza Almijara, you’re immersed in the village’s rhythm—morning coffee chatter, soft church bells, and golden sunsets over the rooftops. It’s atmospheric, authentic, and utterly charming. The rooftop is a standout—both for the panoramic views and the amazing breakfasts. Rooms are stylish and spotless. While some are compact and small, they’re still comfortable. But what really makes this place shine is the warm, friendly and personal welcome from Maurice. His energy add a personal touch. So, if you’re after real Andalusian atmosphere—this is it.

Close to Malaga, after the last part of an exciting drive, you get to a quiet paradise with a view you can just dream of. Newly renovated, this is the place to calm down and relax as you enjoy the sunset. Run by a passionate couple, we missed nothing. One of the best B&Bs we've stayed at. Hope to be back one day.

Nice warm welcome when we arrived. The house has been tastefully decorated and retains many original features. The roof terrace was great for reading and relaxing in the winter sun. Watching the sunset from the roof was spectacular. The breakfast was great which set us up for the day.

The second time I have stayed in one of Antonio's apartments. The apartment is clean, nice and spacious, with comfortable beds, and an excellent bathroom. The balcony is simply fantastic. Antonio is super helpful and informative, and always available if you need something. The location is perfect, just a 1 minute walk from the main square.

Such a gorgeous Townhouse.. and spacious. We stayed as a family of five very comfortably (all adults) Lots of traditional features throughout the property while still having modern and functional amenities. The shower was great. The house was extremely well equipped. Lots of utensils, crockery and cooking equipment in the kitchen and lots of spare towels and bedding available. The location was perfect… very close to the main square. It’s a bit of a trek with luggage initially but we have stayed in several properties in Competa and experienced this with them all. You can’t change the logistics of the area nor would you want to. It’s beautiful. This townhouse had stunning outside space. There were two terraces. The first terrace had a very beautiful outside kitchen area and stunning views. The roof terrace was even more spacious and had a lovely welcomed shaded area. Both outside areas had ample seating, tables and sun beds. This is a beautiful house and we would highly recommend. Our host, Dan, even facilitated an earlier check in time which was really convenient for us. Thank you

A great old house with lots of character and with all modern facilities, very close to everything. The roof terrace is amazing, with great views. There are 117 steps to the apartment so not for faint hearted!
