Stunning location with expansive mountain and sky views. Fabulous sunrise, sunset and starlit skies. Lovely hotel. We were upgraded to the suite which was a nice touch. Excellent dining and bar area. Inside and outside options. Francisco was a first class host and nothing was too much trouble. His evening meal was delicious. Although it was closed the pool and pool area look as if they are a nice addition.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend in Pampaneira. We loved the hostal -- really nice people, good food, comfortable rooms, great location (just a few steps from the bus stop), right in the heart of the village.

Chalet is absolutely perfect, good location, stunning view to mountains, nice staff and great price. We even had a little heater prepared inside and it was turned on, so it was warm inside when we arrived. We received all information we needed in advance. Would definitely recommend.

The magnificent views, what a bonus having the terrace, best views in the town, although temperate got below zero, heating in the apartment was adequate. Very clean

The location is perfect. The hotel was old fashioned in a charming way. Quiero dejar claro que este no es un Airbnb convencional, sino un espacio comunitario donde también se realizan voluntariados y que sigue en proceso de construcción. Es un lugar con una filosofía muy ecológica: los baños son de bajo impacto, hay duchas tanto al aire libre como en el interior y, en general, todo está pensado para ser lo más sostenible posible. Si reservas una habitación doble para uso individual, tendrás tu propio espacio para descansar, pero es importante saber que la cocina y los baños son compartidos. Es un sitio pensado para convivir y conocer gente de diferentes culturas, por lo que es muy probable que acabes compartiendo conversaciones con otros huéspedes y voluntarios. El anfitrión es un hombre alemán-francés cuya madre tenía una casa aquí. A partir de ella ha creado este proyecto, que poco a poco se va reconstruyendo gracias al trabajo de personas voluntarias. Recomendaría este lugar a personas con la mente abierta, con ganas de conocer gente, compartir experiencias y disfrutar de un ambiente comunitario. Yo lo definiría más como un hostel tranquilo con muchos espacios comunes para socializar más que como un Airbnb tradicional. En cambio, si buscas total privacidad, silencio, instalaciones de lujo o todas las comodidades de un alojamiento convencional, probablemente este no sea el sitio adecuado para ti. Dicho esto, las comodidades básicas están muy bien cubiertas: la cama era cómoda, todo estaba limpio y nuestra experiencia fue muy agradable. De hecho, superó con creces nuestras expectativas, porque no esperábamos encontrarnos con un ambiente tan especial y acogedor. A nosotros nos encantó precisamente por ese espíritu comunitario, y por eso quería dejarlo claro para que quien busque un Airbnb al uso que sepa que este lugar ofrece una experiencia diferente y venga con las expectativas adecuadas.

Secluded location in the hills with beautiful scenery. Clean room and facilities. Great host - easy to contact and had useful tips for us. Offered to get us food from the local town too!

Chaparra made me feel at home, relax and completely unwind. I travel a lot around Europe but this place has stolen my heart. It’s a house with a soul. Have visited the place in the end of September so had a privilege of enjoying the whole house, the terrace and the pool by myself. The silence around interrupted only by the sound of the sheep far away made me forget about the whole world. On top of that, Chaparra is very well located if someone would like to hike up Mulhacen, the highest mountain in Spain and the Iberian Peninsula. Me and my dog managed to hike up the mountain with success and then on the next day we enjoyed the well-deserved relaxing day in Chaparra. It’s a place one would like to return to.

Great location, bathroom and shower fine, beds comfortable, good to have a balcony in the living/kitchen room.
