Very local and authentic feeling of the whole place with classic style of the rooms and common spaces. A nice resort to stay at if you are looking for something else than a standard hotel. Breakfast was very good and local. Car is recommended to have while staying there as it is on the country side.

we loved everything about this stay, the hosts were both on site and really friendly and helpful. It was magical to stay on the boat with the peace and views of the water all around. The facilities on the dock were spotless and nice. And we treated ourselves to a lovely evening meal at the hosts dock side restaurant. This stay was truly unique, we all loved it.

I found this stay amazing. The cottage is located in the north of Åland, about 4km away from Hamsundet Guest Harbor that is also run by the owners. It's a small, basic lodge with two beds, a small kitchen, a bio toilet and a solar shower in a tiny, calm neighbourhood with a great view on a lake right opposite. However, there are also shower facilities, toilets, and a sauna in the harbor one can use. The harbor is run by a very nice couple that serve also a great mix of Italian food and burgers/plates with different local fish. My highlight was a boat trip they offer each morning around some northern islands. There's also the option to go to the opposite island and do a hike along a cave among others. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at the harbor and chats in the sauna with different guests, can only recommend.

Everything was great. I strongly recommend. The owners are very nice, the house is great and the view is amazing.

This is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle, relax in nature, pick mushrooms, fish, admire the bay from above, and birdwatch. The house is located near the bay on the slope of a rocky mountain. There is a magnificent small bathhouse, located 15 meters from the house. The veranda has a gas grill and a beautiful terrace with mountain views. About 200 meters from the house, there is a large asphalt area next to the bay where you can park a trailer with a boat - this is an ideal spot for fishing. The house has a fireplace, a real open one, which heats the entire house. You can cook anything in it - meat, fish, and potatoes. The excellent kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Parking is also available next to the house, and the toilet is clean. I recommend it to all nature and fishing lovers. I would love to come back next year, but a little earlier - in the middle of summer, and stay longer, at least for a week.

We were a family of 3 cycling around Åland. After 5 other places, this one was by far the best of all. Breakfast was very good, the hospitality and attention from the host was much appreciated. The rooms were spacious, clean and fully equipped. The garden and outdoor equipment are perfect for enjoying nature. We only regret not being able to stay longer.

The house was quite big for two people so it felt like we stayed in a mansion. Such a lovely house and a nice, peaceful location. The house has everything you need for a long stay such as kitchen equipment and a washing machine. Kastelholms castle is within a walking distance.

Had a great time! The cottage was small but clean and had everything you need, great host and beautiful views over the lake. There is an stone age fortress within a walking distance on top of a hill (It's basically a pile of stones, but I found it interesting and the views from the top were beautiful).

The cleanest hostel facility I've seen so far. Friendly fellow tenants, proximity to scenic spots, cool inside while it might be hot outside.

We were a group of 14 people staying in three cottages. The host gave us a warm welcome and explained everything we needed to know. It's a very nice, relaxing, and peaceful place to spend a few days with friends or family. Just a short walk away is the lake, where you have direct access to the water. Only the kids went in for a quick dip, but there were plenty of other activities to enjoy, including badminton, volleyball (with a net), boules, darts, swings, and a sandbox. Each cottage has its own BBQ on the terrace, and there's another BBQ area by the lake with tables and a shelter, which is perfect for gathering together. There is also a sauna by the lake, and two of our cottages had their own saunas. We were initially surprised that these two cottages didn't have showers, but we found out we could use the shower in the cottage’s sauna. The cottages are comfortable and equipped with all the basic necessities. The beds are comfortable as well. If the weather is warm, however, the cottages can get quite hot at night, so a small portable fan would be a nice addition. The only thing to watch out for is ticks. All of our kids got a few because they spent most of their time playing in the tall grass, so it's worth checking everyone carefully after being outdoors.
