SwitzerlandThe room was very nicely decorated (modern, but keeping the some old elements of the original house) and very comfortable. The host, Annelise, was extremely welcoming and gave as a lot of info about what we can do in Verdun, including restaurants recommendations. We took the optional breakfast and it was a good idea, as we had everything served when we wanted and it was delicious. Location is also great, 5min by car to the Verdun old city and maybe 20min by car to the battlefield.

United KingdomAlthough the hostess and I did not speak the same language, she took good care of me during my stay. The house and room were very comfortable and have lots of character. Delicious breakfast. Location was good, a short walk away from a nice restaurant and only a little bit further to the city center.

The location as an overnight stay over was excellent for us. The property had everything we needed and was ideally located not far from local shops, restaurants and a beautiful church.
The apartment was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. Even the pull out sofa had USB charging ports for our phones!
All in all, highly recommended!

Characterful accommodation and owner (and friendly dog). Stunning and very filling breakfasts around a proper dining table with a roaring fire (it was cold for June!) - choice of "sweet" or "savoury" menu - stay at least 2 nights to sample both! Easy parking outside in quiet one-way street (google maps tried to send me the wrong way down it!). Easy, short walk to Verdun itself with restaurants and attractions. Free wifi. Had to try to speak French with lots of laughter. Authentic French experience. Good value. Recommended.

Our stay at this hotel was delightful. The location was ideal. The accommodation is quiet and comfortable. The catering is excellent. The people are friendly and helpful . Our dogs were treated as friends. We were really happy with our stay.

Can I give a place a 12? : ) Staying here was one of the most delightful accommodations we've had in our five decades of travel! The host, Denis, and his friend Eveline, were helpful beyond belief. The apartment is large, well-furnished, clean, and features a well-stocked kitchen, as well as a large bathroom with even a washing machine! The location is just behind the Victory monument on the main street of Verdun, and a 10 minute walk from the train station. TRULY A JOY!
