English: My mom and I stayed at EHON HOUSE in Uji, Kyoto for two nights. Before our arrival, the host was extremely patient in answering all of my questions—with very quick responses! The house looks exactly like the photos, but feels even more spacious and comfortable in person. Both my mom and I were very happy with our stay. The instructions for using the appliances were very clear, and the emergency/safety equipment was well prepared. The location was also excellent—many small paths lead quickly to sightseeing spots, and since the house is in a residential area, it’s very quiet, which we really appreciated. During our trip, my mom lost her phone. The host kindly and promptly provided great support. Thankfully, we were able to retrieve the phone from the police station smoothly. We are truly grateful! Overall, this was a wonderful stay and we highly recommend this place! / ps. A few suggestions from our side (maybe could be noted in the instruction book for future guests too;) 1) We didn’t realize at first that the kitchen and bathroom hot water share the same power switch. We weren’t sure if we needed to turn it off at night or if the hot water was instant or took a few minutes to heat up? 2) We weren’t sure if the entrance light turned on automatically or not? It was a bit dark when we returned at night, and later we found out that the outside light needed to be turned on from inside. 3) It would be great to have a small basket outside the bathroom to put clean clothes. Thank you again!!
