A beautiful retreat by the river and close to Block 5 Yala NP. Suj is a lovely guy and a fantastic cook and the servings are more than we could eat. The room is large and very clean and comfortable. You see elephants on the road not far south of the property and the whole experience there felt truly authentic. Highly recommended

Quiet place surrounded by beautiful paddy field, adjacent river was so soothing. Elephant tour was organized by host and lots of birds.Easy access to Yala national park entrance. Thank for the complimentary Sri Lankan authentic breakfast by the host, All good, highly recommended

Wow. Did not expect rooms of this quality! Very large farm land with few cabanas spread out. Feels like a mini village. Highlight was the fresh river and river deck which I spent most my time reading. This place opened up a different side to me. Food was all local and healthy. Amazing cycling experience around the village and local lake in the morning followed by a kanda (Herbal Juice with solid honey) in the morning and a river bath will now be my epitome of happiness.

This is where you stay if you want the best view possible of Ella. It’s simply amazing!!!!! Our balcony (from the top apartment) faced this glorious view and it was more beauty than one could take in! The room was spacious, clean, very comfortable and new. Everything needed is there including a small fridge and sitting area. Shower was great with hot water. Breakfast patio facing the glorious view - serving great breakfast. Bed was big and comfortable. Service was perfect. And the quiet was lovely with only jungle noises. Also on a clear night the sky was full of stars and on a clear morning the sunrise was incredible (we felt no need to climb at sunrise given the balcony view.) A rare find in Sri Lanka, truly a gem.

We all loved our stay with Thomasha and his family, they were all lovely and helpful with anything we needed. Thomashas wife even made us a delicious curry and rice for dinner. The building and rooms were all super colourful and cute. Brilliant location to experience a smaller local village but still able to access lots of nearby attractions

This was the best hospitality we received in Sri Lanka. It is a lovely family business, located in nature and very close to the famous Budurugawala rock carvings. Shalika and his family are perfect hosts. The cabin is great and the environment is very peaceful. The beds were really comfortable and super clean. The food they served is amazing and they the ingredients are harvested by the hosts. It was an amazing experience. They also provide transportation service. Highly recommended!

The house is sooo comfortable and the family hosting is so friendly and took care of us like a family member, the welcoming was warm by all the family members and offering welcoming drinks was a wonderful treat by them , the room we stayed in was so big with two beds and big balcony and everything was clean , the breakfast was included and cook for as a special rice and curry which was extremely delicious by the wife , the quantity was more than enough for many people even we were only two person, we had many talks with the owner and I’ll definitely recommended to stay with this family and enjoy their beautiful place with stunning interior and exterior designs.
