Amazing place!!! The host is just the sweetest, and offers an amazing safari to Yala at much cheaper than third party websites, and he grew up spotting animals so you are in good hands (we even saw a leopard!). I cannot recommend this place more, it is quite special!

A beautiful retreat by the river and close to Block 5 Yala NP. Suj is a lovely guy and a fantastic cook and the servings are more than we could eat. The room is large and very clean and comfortable. You see elephants on the road not far south of the property and the whole experience there felt truly authentic. Highly recommended

Quiet place surrounded by beautiful paddy field, adjacent river was so soothing. Elephant tour was organized by host and lots of birds.Easy access to Yala national park entrance. Thank for the complimentary Sri Lankan authentic breakfast by the host, All good, highly recommended

Didn't expect much when booking as we only wanted a decent place to stay on our way to Arugambay and wow truely a hidden gem. Our Original plan was to go direct to Arugambay from Waligama but changed when we realized it takes close to 5 hours to get there. Unfortunately we didn't have time for a Safari at Yala but Indika took us on a guided village bike trek which was absolutely stunning and got to see many birds. The highlight for me was the river, it was therapeutic, the villa borders the river where there is a naturally formed island which was ideal for us to leave our speakers and snacks. Indika arranged for a BBQ at the river deck. Rooms were super clean and has to be the best beds we've had on our trip so far. If travelling with friends I would recommend the Bungalow, we unfortunately realized this later and had already settled in our rooms. Overall great place at a very reasonable price.

This was our favourite place to stay from our entire trip. Everything was fantastic. The room, facilities, the view, hosts and breakfast. The room was cool enough with a large ceiling fan but there was no air con (not an issue for us though).

We all loved our stay with Thomasha and his family, they were all lovely and helpful with anything we needed. Thomashas wife even made us a delicious curry and rice for dinner. The building and rooms were all super colourful and cute. Brilliant location to experience a smaller local village but still able to access lots of nearby attractions

This was the best hospitality we received in Sri Lanka. It is a lovely family business, located in nature and very close to the famous Budurugawala rock carvings. Shalika and his family are perfect hosts. The cabin is great and the environment is very peaceful. The beds were really comfortable and super clean. The food they served is amazing and they the ingredients are harvested by the hosts. It was an amazing experience. They also provide transportation service. Highly recommended!
