Beautiful property. Nice setting.

I'm so glad we chose to stay at Maison Charrette. The setting is quiet and secluded, the rooms are large and luxurious, and the shower has unlimited super hot water. The on-site restaurant offers a wide variety of tasty options for dinner and breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It's probably the nicest lodging in all of Morondava. The owner is fun to talk with and it's clear that this property is a labor of love for him. It's all very ecologically focused, running on pure solar power and drawing drinkable fresh water from their own private well. The grounds are lovely and their elusive cat Max is a treasure.

Lovely hotel, located near the town as well as the beach in front of the hotel. Wonderful rooms, a nice garden, delicious food and all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. We can very much recommend the massage - it is great, and can be booked through the reception. The atmosphere is relaxed 😊 If it’s your first stay in Madagascar, you should be prepared that showers sometimes will not be hot. This was also the case the week we stayed. Another thing to be prepared for, is that Morondava is known for its fishing (and the processing of this). When the fish are laid out on the sand to dry, this can have a smell to it. But that’s not on the hotel, that’s just the people doing their job ❤️

Everything was great, the staff was very helpful. They organized a tour to Baobab Alley and Kirindy park at good price, and helped to find a driver to Antananarivo as our flight was cancelled.

Staff were extremely helpful and kind! They were accommodating and able to fulfill any requests I had. Wishing I stayed longer... Wonderful short walk to a beautiful beach and the atmosphere of the place was perfect for relaxing.

Food, people, the energy, everything

Reality met expectations. Perfect.

Breakfast was not included. It was on the main road, so it was easy to find.

The staff is super kind and helpful and the room was amazing! Very clean and pretty big! When I came back from the NP, I booked it again, because I loved it. The beach is nice but maybe not for a swim… It’s an one hour drive to the Baobab trees, about 3 hours to kirindy and 9 hours to Tsingy.
