This is a very special place, it’s located in a protected rainforest, surrounded by mighty trees, tropical vegetation and many animals. The famous Datai Bay can be reached by a short walk through the Jungle – on a paved path. The architecture is as exquisite as the collection of Asian artwork that is visible everywhere on the premises. It’s a place to wind down, slow down, leave all your stress behind. You can order wonderful Asian food. The family team that runs the place is very friendly and accommodating. Time is almost standing still here. And there’s also an exceptionally beautiful golf course in the neighborhood. It’s a wonderful place to recharge your mental batteries and just enjoy the quiet harmony of nature.

Beautiful, clean, professionally managed place in the heart of the rain forest, surrounded by green hills, coconut trees, farms, and wildlife, close to waterfalls, boat tours, sky cab to top of the mountain etc. Safe area to walk, and the amazing manager helped us arrange transportation as needed. Breakfast spread was excellent. Beach was good but beach sports /activities were too expensive. Room was large and the sea-view was really great. Special mention should be made of the Head Chef who entertained our requests for certain items (e.g. Roti Jala) and made our breakfast more memorable.

Everything! From the comfortable villa, amazing food and most of all the impeccable service and attentiveness of the staff right from the booking process and throughout the stay. They caught and cooked mudcrabs for my parents and helped arranged a lovely sunset cruise too. A big shoutout and gratitude to Ms. Yee from Reservations, Mr Raid and Mr Hairee at the villa for their outstanding service to make my mother’s 78th birthday trip so memorable! Highly recommended stay.

We couldn't have been happier with our short getaway at the Datai! From the exceptional service and staff, to the wonderful restaurants serving excellent meals and quaint spots to walkabout and simply enjoy the well designed spaces, we absolutely loved all the details of our stay. The beach was very private and exclusive and it was definitely one of our highlights too; plenty of natural elements and wildlife to make our trip extra memorable as well.

Our experience at the Datai was amazing. We stayed 3 nights. The service provided by the staff at the resort is top notch. The rooms are luxurious, spotlessly clean with everything you need. The beach is spectacular - private, clear waters and beautiful surroundings of the rainforest and mountains.

Norma the owner... Was a big help. I didnt stay there... Because of the location was very far away from city centre. And we were the only ones where we staying. It looked kind of a scene from a horror movie. But Norma understood my problem and helped me out immediately.
