Loved my stay here. The family that own the place were so lovely, friendly and welcoming. They invited me to share some drinks and some food and taught me some Tahitian words and gave me information about Tahiti. There is a small access to the ocean and you can snorkel there, not life changing snorkelling but nice to just cruise around and watch a couple fish, heaps of sea cucumbers and beautiful coloured clams. Short distance down the road and you have a couple snack places and a resort - good snorkelling at Avea bay just down the road. The tour I went on picked me up just at the end of the road and was awesome (HineOraVai). There is a bike to use. Bed was comfy with mossie net, kitchen area was good to do some basic cooking, inc coffee machine! I would stay here again, Mauruuru roa to you all :)

The hosts: Viana and Coro were incredibly welcoming. The accomodation was clean, safe and on a beautiful location. Of our trip in french polynesia, this is the place we will look back to with the fondest memories.

The location is amazing, the personnel friendly, the property clean.

The beach is amazing and it is only 10 seconds from apartment. The owners are really kind and helpfull. I hope that one day we will be back.

I didn't want to leave a review, because I would like this place to be my secret, but that wouldn't be fair to the hosts. This is the kind of place you could imagine Hemmngway writing a novel. It's not for you twee Instagramers. Influencers, stay away! This house has bucket fulls of character there is art in every corner. The giant marlin and tuna sculptures are wonderful. Then , to top it all, you have the turquoise lagoon with lovely snorkeling on your doorstep. Oh, did I mention, the sunsets are jawdropping. If soulless hotels are not your thing. Try Chalet Avea. Huahine is a beautiful island and this is a perfect corner of it.

Avea lagoon is the best place in huahine, you have an amazing coral sand beach 50 meters on the left of the studio. Relaxing private garden in front of the sea.
