Accommodation in Socolari

An exquisitely restored village house with incredible style and attention to detail. Everything is tastefully designed and far beyond the standard we’ve seen in Romania. The kitchen is outstanding – authentic and full of local flavors – and every dish we tried was delicious. Breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. Truly an extraordinary place that exceeded all our expectations.

A lovely, quiet property. The host are incredibly friendly and helpful. Anything we needed for our stay was provided. The property has an bigger courtyard than most properties in the village which is great when you travel by car. The location is amazing for all the trips we did in the Nera national park. We would love to return.

Locația este excelentă. Totul de vis. Casa este foarte frumoasă, spațioasă, dotată cu absolut tot ce este nevoie de la tacâmuri, farfurii, pahare, oale, etc. este curat și îngrijit, ne-am simțit extraordinar. Piscina e superbă! View-ul este frumos, apa este caldă și curată, sunt șezlonguri, totul este făcut cu mult gust și foarte practic! Drumul nu este chiar atât de tragic până acolo, e ok dar mai sunt câteva gropi dar îl poți face fără nicio problemă. Atât doamna Marina cat și Doamna Ica sunt niște persoane minunate, ne-au ajutat cu tot ce am avut nevoie Lângă casă este Pensiunea Thea unde se poate servi mâncare delicioasă, pește, mămăligă, grătare. Mini market la 7 min pe jos Noi am fost la o petrecere de burlăcie și ne-am simțit foarte bine! Recomand și pentru familii, este o oază de liniște și relaxare!

The most amazing feature for us was the location. You can do beautiful hikes directly from the doorsteps of the hotel, without moving your car. Also, the host was really friendly, relaxed and helpful, the room was very nice and clean, and the food was delicious. The road to get there is bumpy but this wasn’t a problem for us. We would definitely recommend it and do it again!

Easy to find and good location to explore surrounding nature. Very welcoming hosts. Food was delicious and big portions for affordable price. Bed and pillows were comfy.

Absolutely everything- it was in a gorgeous little village with very thoughtfully chosen decor. The kitchen is well stocked, and the garden is perfect for relaxing in.

A new boutique accommodation in Socolari. We used it as a base for hiking in Cheile Nerei. The space is clean and with a lot of taste. The outside patio is great for siting in the evening for a glass of wine. Host is very friendly and lives nearby.

Our hosts were welcoming, we have never seen such hospitality. Check in and check out is flexible and we had everything we needed. There are no stores nearby but the hosts offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and I definitely recommend getting it. The house is around a beautiful location, fairly close to tourist attractions. After a hike you can finish the day with delicious homemade food and a nice hot tub.

The place is peaceful and close to the national park. The accommodation is well-equipped.I think we’ll come back someday—and then we’ll try the jacuzzi too 😉

The room seems to have recently been recently refurbished. Everything looks new. The hostess was very friendly and spoke good English. She was very kind and helpful. The local area is very pretty. The river Nera is nearby, with some nice walks to enjoy.

This accomodation was great, I fully recommend! I stayed for a week to explore the National Parks in the area. The place is neat and clean with furniture in good condition and everything is functional. There’s AC in the room as well. The garden is lovely and there is room for several cars. The location is also very good, it’s about 20 mins away from Nera-Beusnita National Park. The owner is very kind and he draws you a map how to get to the attractions. He will also exchange your money should you need it. There are two small stores nearby.

Quiet location on dead end street with absolutely no traffic. Extremely clean house, very well equipped with everything you might need for your stay.

Very new. Specific local arhitecture very good respected. A big plus for lot of children stuff (outdoor sand; toys; chair; dish etc.)

The host was absolutely wonderful. I had to leave earlier than planned, and she was the one who kindly suggested modifying my reservation so I would only pay for the nights I actually stayed. She even called Booking herself with me to help sort everything out. It was such a generous and honest gesture, and I really appreciated it. The room was very comfortable and clean, the shared kitchen and living room were great, and my dogs were welcomed with no restrictions or extra fees. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
