A warm and welcoming environment with friendly staff. The buffet dinner was perfect for us and well priced. Lovely comfortable room and bed, and there was even a kettle in the room. Breakfast included in the price and very nice food for both meals. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Very nice crew and location very central

We stayed at this hotel in April for one night with our pet. The room was located across the road, in the pet-friendly building. The room was clean and large with a lovely spacious bathroom. Robes, slippers, dog bowl (gold!), dog bed were provided. The room was quiet, despite a restaurant downstairs, beds comfortable and big. We had breakfast, which was very good, with hot and cold options. We enjoyed a celebration dinner at The Lamp Restaurant the night before. We had starters, main course, and desert. The food was exceptional and service exemplary. In summary, this is a lovely hotel for a celebration event and we would happily return.

Breakfast was included and was perfect every day, loads of options to choose from! Bed and pillows were very comfortable! Shower was good, normally hotels are weak pressure but this shower was amazing! Staff all friendly and check in and check out was so easy! Great location!!

Friendliness of owner and staff

Most memorable stay of my month long trip. Has a neat, regal but comfortable vibe. Loved the artwork, wooden floors and natural lighting. Breakfast was also fantastic!

I liked that pets could stay in the room with no problems or questions. I liked that there was a shared kitchen and that it provided some cups and plastic forks. I liked the quietness of the room, even though it was in a fairly central location. They allowed a late arrival.

Rooms were big. Bed and mattress was really good. You get plenty of space in room. Location is also good as its near to main railway station. Breakfast was included but it was basic. Staff was also good and helpful.

The service was first class. The room was clean and the beds wonderfully soft. The breakfast was varied and tasty. The location was quiet and the parking was safe.

I really liked the old building and the decor of the rooms, our quadruple room and the shared rooms. The location is very convenient – ​​right next to the train station, with trains and buses nearby. There's a great coffee shop with delicious food in the same building. I love the large, antique arched windows! The rooms are clean, and the bed linens are truly white. For breakfast, you could make your own cereal, oatmeal, and sandwiches. All the ingredients were fresh. There were lollipops for the kids, which were delicious added to their tea.
