Palm House & Restaurant is a must stay! The place is really beautifully decorated, the staff is friendly and accommodating, food is delicious, and it is located pretty well close to Utende and the beach. We stayed for 4 nights and would definitely go back.

The staff and dedication to detail was outstanding. The place is very well taken care of and the food was excellent. We got upgraded to the newly built rooms. The area was quiet and the balcony was overlooking the sea. We felt like we were in paradise!! They made a big effort to make it eco friendly, which we loved. We will definitely go back! Hassan is a great host, kind and helpful; the room il small and cozy and the garden is really nice and comfortable. It is a very beautiful place to spend relaxing days. The restaurant is amazing! Best food on the island.

excellent accommodation in utende village. the staff is super friendly, attentive and helpful. the rooms are beautifully done, breakfast is fresh, delicious and more than enough. the dinner for 12$ is reasonably priced, you get a starter, a main and drinks and it‘s delicious. keep in mind that you‘re staying in the village and not on the beach. they lend you bicycles for the 5 minute ride and the drive is really nice. if i ever return to mafia i‘d stay there again. asante tena:)

Very quiet location and very close to the ocean. The food was very good with fresh fruits and juices daily but what I loved was how friendly and welcoming everyone was. I would definitely come back here again.

Godfrey and his team, specially Daudi made our stay very pleasant. Always attentive and kind. The room was spacious and cleaned everyday. Hot water, good pressure, mosquito net, AC, everything was perfect. The restaurant is, undoubtedly, the best of the area.
