I loved that this is an old historic building with an interesting story. Robert , the owner, who is the only staff member is very interesting to talk to. He gave me a detailed history of the inn as well as Dubuque. The breakfast is amazing & exceptionally good coffee ( rare in America in my experience). Within walking distance of lots of sites, Monk bar which is good for a relaxed drink & close to restaurants. Easy parking

Everything was incredible. The building, the garden, the common rooms, my room were charming and deeply clean. I want to take a moment to thank Simon who went the extra mile in welcoming me. I was in a difficult situation with my itinerary and I was alone. I arrived very late at night but he helped giving me the door code and leaving the key room at the door.
