Stayed in the Cabin for a week and it was everything I could have wanted. Cozy fireplace in the lounge for the evenings, a bar outside for morning coffee while watching the monkeys, good quality bedding on a King sized bed, a well equipped kitchen. Communication is excellent, and Lyndsay even forwarded relevant events/deals as they came up. If I had the time I would have stayed longer, 10/10 recommend.

The hosts had put so much thought into every detail and were so kind to us. Each teepee had their own space in the communal kitchen, with board games, a themed message board and everything we could possibly need, including bug spray! The hosts were so kind, assisting us with customizing hiking routes for our interests, recommending restaurants based on our taste, and even spoiling us with a special hand-written message and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate us getting engaged there! Absolutely stunning views, ample space in the teepee, bathrooms and kitchen... wood, firefighters and matches provided, ready and waiting, and such friendly staff! I would stay there again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend giving this a try. Super unusual, and so brilliant!! Incredibly unique, romantic and just absolutely amazing. Arriving at Misty Oaks we were welcomed by sheep, horses, oak trees and a warm welcoming cottage. Two fireplaces keep you warm, days are filled with fishing, walking, relaxing on the sunny stoep. After a particularly busy year hosting family and friends and our children's schedule with their school play, we enjoyed the privacy and not being near town or people for this trip. Having no TV, wifi or reception was actually a bonus. We had plenty time to just 'be' and truly connect and enjoy each other which is exactly what we wanted. The view was beautiful and very peaceful. The garden was lovely to play in. We aren't really fishermen but we enjoyed having a go at the lake. And the fireplace and electric blankets were so enjoyed! It was good to meet Robyn on arrival and the welcome cake was a nice touch. Made even more special since it was actually my birthday weekend. I will advise though to pack some doom for the flies.
