Everything was perfect - from the warm welcome from my gracious hosts, the Hoffs, to the spotlessly clean private unit in a beautiful setting on the farm. The bed was comfortable, and I had everything I needed. I will most definitely visit again!

From the garden to the art to the food, everything at Black Cottage is a feast for the senses. I want to come back for two or three nights to fully enjoy all Black Cottage has to offer.

Very cozy accommodation. Very clean and with kitchenette. The small town is worth a STOP to experience country life. Agriculture characterizes the village and the farmers ensure safety in the village. You feel safe and even in the evening it is not a problem to walk to the cozy restaurant or pub. A beautiful village life that is mixed and gives a good impression. Really great - thanks South Africa.

I spent a night on my way from the Eastern Cape to Johannesburg. Annejie was a wonderful host. The place is out of the way, in wonderful bush and has wonderful views of the hills. I had an excellent braai and a very restful sleep. Everything had been thought of, including rusks and coffee beans and a grinder. Would love to come back and spend a week here. Very peaceful
