The hotel reception staff and the porters were very friendly and helpful. Always wiling to assist. Thank you to Mr. Cele for organizing our room for a Romantic welcome platter and flowers, the next day was my birthday the cakes and the decor on the bed was 100%. We felt very special, even during breakfast we recieved a beautiful cake from the chef....amazing treatment recieved. The activities kept us busy, the food and the guys assisting with the dishing up during g the buffet were so friendly and engaging with the visitors.

The place was well located, cozy and had a nice layout, with a separate cottage, which gave us extra privacy. It had everything we needed and there was plenty to do in the area. Emma was very attentive and went beyond expectations to ensure we were comfortable. There was plenty of bird life in the garden and peaceful surrounds. We had a lovely time. Would recommend.

This place is a peace of heaven during our trip in South Africa. We feel like home due to the kind hosts and the really comfy cottage. The nature around the farm is beautiful and make our stay a very special one.

The accommodation was delightful steeped in local history, the owners and staff went above and beyond our expectations. Nothing was too much trouble.

Beautifully appointed and quiet. Sitting on the deck the animals grazed nearby. So relaxing and a lovely breakfast it was too much for me to do justice to it. Very helpful owner

Everything was excellent, exceptionally clean and neat and the host is very thoughtful. She had thought of all our needs and we really do appreciate the amazing experience she had provided for us. She is also very kind and accommodating. My entire family enjoyed their stay. Brilliant!

We have been travelling for 10 months and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed in! As soon as we arrived, we decided to extend our stay by another night because we loved it so much. The apartment is huge and has everything we needed and more! It’s a joy to spend the day out hiking and knowing you have a place as cozy as this to return to. Lakin is absolutely lovely and gave us lots of tips for hikes and food, all of which proved to be amazing! The animals were another bonus. We were especially privileged to get a visit from the cat one morning. We will definitely stay here again when back in Drakensberg!

On the farm, with private views over pecan trees , close to nearby restaurants, and with easy access. Friendly host, and the beds are very comfortable. All that you require and more...

It was a very lovely and calm place. The bed was so cozy and we we were offered a heater for the cold nights. The owner provided us with a lot of useful information before we arrived and took care of our requests immediately.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here! When I booked the place, I almost couldn't believe the price compared to other good accommodation options in the area. The facilities were fantastic, Sandra was an exceptional hostess, extremely welcoming with lots of little touches like milk in the fridge provided for. The location on the game reserve is exceptional, we were able to walk around freely and saw buck, zebra and giraffe. The only complaint I have is that we couldn't stay even longer, even though it was offered to us by Sandra if our hiking in the Drakensberg didn't go to plan! I really can't express enough how much of a great option this is.
