We stopped in KK for just one night. There is a coin laundry next door and huge supermarket just a short walk away. The room was small, but enough for a stopover. Clean sheets, comfy bed, decent internet. The staff was quick and efficient. We saw that there was a spacious common room also with a huge TV.

We loved our 2 night stay at the Ormond. The hotel is brand new and had only been opened for 4 days when we stayed. Our room was on the 26th floor and had an amazing view of the water. The rooms are really lovely. a great size and very comfortable. The pool is absolutely beautiful. We can’t wait to return again a 2 days after our river cruise.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views of Berau. The room was spotless clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was fully equipped with all details. We had a great night sleep. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options both western and asian. And they had an expresso machine to make cappuccino which was a nice touch. The staff as very kind friendly and helpful. We liked it so much here that we booked a second night.

Location right in front of the airport which is super convenient as the only flights happen around noon and it does not bother at any time. The national park is at a walking distance. Owners are very nice and available to assist with food or transportation. Fortunately they were very accommodating with breakfast and dinner with our inconvenient schedules The place is clean and ample. At night with the fan is more than perfect for sleeping, we did not have any issues with insects nor noises.
