I stayed at Casa los Duentes for 8 nights and rate it as an excellent place to stay in San Pedro de Atacama. It is a 10-minute stroll from the town centre, which is nice as it feels like a haven. The room was very spacious and kept incredibly clean by Mayra. She was very attentive and offered to clean the room every second day, doing an excellent job. The view of the mountains from the room (room 6) was incredible to wake up to every morning! I was even pleasantly surprised to have a gorgeous flock of chickens congregating outside my room one afternoon. My showers were hot every day, with excellent water pressure. The shared kitchen is also very spacious and well-equipped, and I found this very useful during my stay as I preferred to cook more than eat out. Tea and coffee and some other food staples are also provided in the kitchen. Mayra provided a laundry service which was very efficient (same day pickup and drop off to room) and excellent value (3000CLP p/kg). Mayra was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay, allowing me to store my luggage after check-out, and also letting me wait in the kitchen until my bus to the airport arrived. Overall I highly recommend Casa los Duentes: it is a beautiful humble property and excellent value, and I would like to say a huge thanks to Mayra for making my stay so pleasant.
