Xishu was amazing! The Chinese style of building adds to the experience. The cortyard is a huge plus. Rooms are clean, beds are good. Staff is above average responsive to your needs, and predictive of them. I am super satisfied with my stay, and I have been there for more days. When everything is good you don't have much to say. Oh yes, location excellent - next to Wenshu and in scenic area, 15 min by taxi to city center, also in direction of some attractions you would want to see (Dufu cottage) 2 metro stations from city center.

This was our favorite hotel of the entire trip. It is a traditional hotel located on a traditional street, right in the center of a modern city full of skyscrapers, which made the experience truly special and authentic. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, with a special mention to the girl at the reception with glasses, whose kindness was truly exceptional. They immediately took care of our laundry service, and one morning, since we had to leave very early, they prepared a breakfast to go for us. The room was beautiful, warm, and extremely welcoming. We were welcomed with two bottles of wine in the room, which was a lovely and unexpected gesture. Breakfast was delicious, and the inner courtyard is a wonderful space where you can both have dinner and enjoy a tea tasting. From our experience, my brother and I have stayed in many hotels, including luxury ones, but we have never experienced such a warm, genuine, and memorable stay. If we ever return to Chengdu, we will definitely stay here again: it is absolutely worth it!

The service at this hotel is truly impressive, making the stay incredibly comfortable. We arrived a bit early, before the check-in time, but the front desk lady smiled and offered to store our luggage for us, suggesting we go for a walk nearby and saying she’d contact us once the room was ready. It wasn’t long before we got a message that we could check in, and when we entered the room, we found our luggage neatly placed in the corner. There was also an ice-cold bottle of mineral water—apparently, they noticed we were carrying big bags and thought we might be thirsty. On the morning of our second day, I casually mentioned to the housekeeping auntie that the bath towel felt a bit damp. When we came back in the evening, not only had she replaced it with a new, dry one, but she’d also left an extra towel, with a note on top saying, “It’s a bit stuffy today, so I prepared an extra one for your convenience.” On the day of check-out, we had an early morning flight, so the front desk helped us book a taxi in advance and even packed two breakfasts, saying we might not have time to eat on the way. The milk and bread inside were all individually packaged, which was really thoughtful. Throughout the stay, there was no sense of forced over-friendliness—just genuine care in the little details, making the stay feel so secure. We’ll definitely choose this place again next time we’re here.

We had a fantastic stay! The location is great with lots of restaurants and the nearby subway station is so convenient for exploring Chengdu. The apartment was comfortable with great beds and a wonderful shower.
