Our hosts Rosa and Santiago went above and beyond to make our stay a most enjoyable one. I wish we had another day there. I can highly recommend this hotel. It's close to everything.

Barceló Cáceres V Centenario features spacious rooms with light wooden floors and modern furnishings. They include air conditioning and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. We are picky. And yet we LOVED everything about this hotel! Big room, well-organized bathroom, good amenities, a delightful staff, a very very good breakfast at the lowest price we've seen for a 4-star. We had a car loaded with 3 months of stuff so we needed secure parking, which is why we chose the hotel. The garage was safe , and affordable. BUT the outdoor parking is fine, and safe for normal travelers. Although it was a 10-minute drive to the exceptional historic center, we also enjoyed a stroll around the hotel's neighborhood, which is an upscale residential enclave close to a big supermarket (Carrefour?).

Work out in the hotel’s fitness suite to keep fit while on holiday, or enjoy a dip in the swimming pool - open in the summer months. The Parador is in a beautifully restored former convent. It is wonderful to be staying in such a historical building . There was an organised tour of the Parador the day I arrived which was great. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the room was very large and comfortable, the breakfast and dinner were excellent, the price of the accommodation, given the luxury, was very reasonable. All in all an excellent stay. The hotel got everything right.

This accommodation is situated in a majestic building, an old convent dating from the 17th century, in Valle del Ambroz in the north of the province of Cáceres.

The hotel has been renovated but has preserved impressive spaces such as the cloister. It is spacious accommodation that enjoys plenty of natural light and spectacular views of the mountains and town. Very close from all the sites. Very nice surroundings to walk around and take pictures. The staff especially Christina went out of her way to drive us to the bus terminal : something to remember
