La Maison Joly is the best place I stayed in Provence so far. The village Ménerbes was almost as charming as the famous Gordes. The apartment was lovely and spacious in the quiet area. The old house with a lot of books had a history of its own and the host Vincent had a corresponding charisma. Séverine prepared wonderful breakfast. No TV screen in the apartment was a real bonus.

Very close to the center of Roussillon which is a beautiful village close to Gordes .

This will be one of the most memorable stays I've ever had. Valérie and Gilles are the most friendly and welcoming hosts. They really went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable, all my needs were met (and beyond) and I felt so at home here. The breakfast was delicious; the hotel was so well decorated and beautiful in the most French way possible (and even more impressive that they both did all the work themselves, design and construction, from a previously run-down building). They were smiling and laughing the whole time, really engaged with me and other guests, and went above and beyond. I was very comfortable in my room; I slept very well in the bed. I loved everything about this place and will try to come back in the future. The location of the hotel in cute Cavaillon was just perfect. With a car you can visit a lot nearby towns and villages and do a small Tour de Provence.
