Mamuka is super helpful, speaks good English and will make sure you have a comfortable stay. The guesthouse is on the edge of the village, just below the church, and (after instructions of Mamuka) easily reached by car. There’s a kitchen for common use, which is great. Very close to the minibus station and quite close to the train station, making it easy for arrivals and departure. The dorm is comfy and doesn’t feel squashed, each bed having a decent amount of space. Likewise the kitchen and bathroom facilities are more spacious than elsewhere in Georgia

Everything about this place was just great. It has a warm atmosphere, created by the kind hostess. The crackling fire in the woodstove, homecooked meals, the view, the location on the trail (good for Lagem pass), cosy livingroom to meet other travellers, comfy beds, hot shower. Felt right at home, best place i stayed at in Georgia.
