This is a family-run guesthouse in an excellent location — amazingly, only a 10-minute walk to the airport. The room faces south and gets plenty of sunlight. Everyone in the family was very kind and welcoming. The bed sheets were clean and the hot shower worked perfectly. Toiletries such as a toothbrush and shampoo were provided, and there was also a large refrigerator in the room. After check-out, the owner even showed me a shortcut to the airport. I only wish I had found this place earlier!

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time in Habitas Rhino. The food is really tasty (I loved the local morela juice and pickles), the rooms comfortable, and it’s a great location - close to safari and to the Orchid park where you can watch really nice performances in the evening. The Nature trail is absolutely amazing! We went for both sunset and sunrise, for bird watching (thanks Aluwin!) and it was one of the biggest highlights of the entire trip to Assam and Meghalaya. So calm and picturesque! The staff is also great, very welcoming.

If you want to see what a perfect guesthouse looks like, come to Bononi. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The room was clean, well-appointed, and had everything I needed. Wifi worked properly. Hot water was available. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The guesthouse has a beautiful garden with many different types of plants. I would highly recommend Bononi to anyone visiting Jorhat.
