Having stayed at Kariappa House I can honestly say that I will certainly be back again. The staff are really very nice and helpful and Ramji was really nice and quite an interesting person. Not sure why an earlier guest did not like him. He went out of his way to help us. We met the owner Kakoli briefly. She was warm and friendly and invited us to stay back for Diwali celebration. The room was very clean and comfortable. Being a day before Diwali there were some cracker sounds but that was everywhere. Breakfast was excellent. We loved the in-house pets, Jazzy and the cats. The best feature was the pool. It was such a treat to have this lovely lap pool all to ourselves. The location is very close to the French Quarter (walking distance) but the approach is through some narrow roads which did not bother us. The Parking was very convenient. I will definitely be back for a longer stay.

The host and his staff showed an extraordinary attitude. Ravi and Sam are fantastic, they helped us with everything, thanks agian here too! We received a map marked with all the important information and recommendations, e.g. restaurant, tours. The homestay offers many useful services that are worth using.

We arrived early in the morning, well before check-in, and we were greeted with a warm welcome. Staff could not be more gracious. Breakfast everday was lovely. The ambiance of the seating area is magical. Room is spacious as well as the bathroom and all is decorated tastefully. Bed is comfortable. Location is perfect.
