From the plumbing to electrical wiring work, they’ve done it right. But that’s not even the best part. It’s the hospitality. Uncle Nima and Aunt made us feel like we visited a relatives home. You’re not gonna get service like this even on a 4 star hotel. I’ve never felt more welcomed at an inn. Uncle Nima even called our room as soon as we got back from MG Marg to check on us. When he told us to call him even from the next town we’re heading to if we needed help, you know he means it. Not to mention, aunty cooks so good. Everything she made was tasty and spot on. An unbelievable experience. I’m so glad I met them both. The next time I come, I’m staying much longer.

However, it's essential to have plenty of patience because communicating with the staff can be challenging, and understanding each other is even more so. The farm stay is located approximately 35 minutes on foot from the nearest town, and the staff wasn't very helpful in arranging transportation, even a taxi (referred to as a tourist vehicle). Thanks to the wonderful homestay and the dedication of Alisha and Akash, our time at Di Lac Retreat was both relaxing and heartwarming. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with excellent service and warm hospitality.

Originally I only wanted to stay one night, but the good reception and the pleasant stay invited me to make it 4 days. The owner does everything to make sure you have a good time there. The room is large and clean. If you want you can stay in the lounge, which is also the living room and a small bar. The view from the terrace is also fantastic, with a view of Kangchenzönga and a beautiful mountain landscape when the sky is not cloudy. The owner can also organize a scooter for you. I would definitely recommend this, as the accommodation is a bit away from the town and you can explore the surrounding area. However, you can reach the town in 15 minutes via a small path. I would come back at any time.
