Very new and clean, dorm bed was comfortable and warm. Staff spoke some English and were super friendly. They provided parking at the cafe across the street when I told them I was renting a scooter. You can use the kitchen to store food in the fridge and prepare meals - cutlery and pots/pans are included. The hostel is a 30 minute bus ride from Ryotsu Port and is walking distance to a supermarket and the beach.

Nice place to stay on Sado Shima. Accessible by bus, the house is very clean and confortable. Will get cold in winter. Host is kind, can speak English if you need! If you are not used to futon, might be tough in the beginning

Absolutely fantastic stay! The hotel is beautifully designed, with great attention to detail, and the hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, and the hotel had everything you could possibly need — and even more. The area is very quiet and peaceful, yet there are still some really good restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay here again!

For those who want a truly exceptional accomodation, Temple Stay is to be warmly recommended. I could not have wished for a finer, more authentic place to stay, surrounded by beautiful gardens and with the extraordinary offer to attend the morning ceremony of the temple if one so pleased. The hosts were extremely friendly, the bed comfortable and the family's dog the most adorable creature in all of Asia. I have travelled extensively in Japan, yet seldom come across a place or such beauty and quality.
