Rinas is the perfect Host. He took so good care of us and all the other guests. With his friendly, kind and funny personality he did an absolut brilliant job. The Stay was extremly clean and tidy. Never in my life have u seen such a clean hostel kitchen. The beds were really confortable. The Staff helped us organise a lot of things. We went to safari and surfing. Even saw the leopards! He organised everything and it went perfect and the price was fair. The people he works together do a very good job. He knows the area and the diverent companys and choses the best of them. Also the laundry service was nice. The hostel was social and it was easy to meet new people. Its suited quiet and still very central. I would totally recommend this hostel - i travelled thorugh diverent countrys and this hostel was by far the best. We planned to stay 2 nights and stayed 6 in the end🤗🤗

The hosts of the hotel were simply the best people. They helped me book a night bus from Colombo to Arugam, stayed in touch with me 24/7 until I got on it, constantly checked if I needed anything, and truly cared about my comfort.

Clean, Quietly, Air Conditioner, mosquitonet, very clean bedroom, no bad smell look like new. Bad changes and laundry ( need to ask) Very nice and helpful personal, good location to any spot and infrastructure in state but Quilty so you can enjoy rest of day. Will be booking again.

Very friendly hosts, good location - near the Main Street, right across the beach, has a restaurant. The rooms arn’t too spacious but more than enough for comfort. Looked newly refreshed, new badroom.. overall very nice.

Amazing nice owner who knows how hospitality works! He and his family made my stay in Arugabay worth coming back! I loved the accommodation. Clean, amazing rooms and bathroom. Close by to everything. One word: amazing!

This was by far the best stay we had in Sri Lanka! First of all, the location is beautiful. Away from all the crowds, this is a very unique and bit undiscovered part of Sri Lanka. But despite the quiet location, the area offers many things to do and the accessibility is very good. We traveled mainly by public transport and from Kandy there’re every hour direct buses (also with A/C) heading to Ampara. From Ampara it is easy to get a tuk tuk to the lodge. But also from the lodge they will help you with arranging transport where necessary (car/taxi/tuk tuk, etc.) and do everything they can to make sure you can travel save. And this is also what makes the Gal Oya Lake Club so special, they are super helpful. Nothing is too much for them and everything is negotiable. For example, when we were there, we’d like to climb the Monkey Mountain with a Vedda. Although this is not part of the “standard” excursions they offer, Dinesh did everything to make this possible for us. But also the area around the lodge is ideal for hiking and in the National park nearby you can make beautiful safaris! And even if you'd rather not go on excursions, there’re plenty things to do at the lodge. The massages they offer are definitely a must do. The massages you get there are absolutely not expensive and truly fantastic! In short, we stayed 3 nights in a glamping tent, but could easily have stayed longer. The staff does everything to make your stay fantastic and it’s a beautiful place to be!

Nice breakfast location, absolutely nice personal and boss - so friendly and helpful. They made our laundry, arranged a taxi to our next destination in Sri Lanka and everything for fair price. Easy communication in WhatsApp. Highly recommended!!!

The place is next to the beach so waking up there is so peaceful. Yet it’s also close to the mainstreet with nice restaurants and shops. The rooms are very clean and the bed is very comfortable. Mohammed is the perfect host!
