Lovely host family. Upon arrival they were quick to offer us tea and biscuits, setting up a table outside our room. We had a lovely discussion with them in the evening, and they gave us mangos and bananas from their tree :)

The calmness of this place was exceptional. Even though you were close to the restaurant hut and other huts, you still felt peacefully secluded. The walk around the lake at sunset was absolutely beautiful. We loved staying here, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was very much enjoyed. The food each evening was delicious and the serenity of the dinner location was amazing. We honestly loved every second of our stay here and would love to go back too. Thank you to all the team for looking after us.

Charitha Rest provides an open-air bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Inginiyagala. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay.

Lovely retreat in the middle of nowhere. The owner was extremely helpful, he organized two halfday safari trips to Yala, plus a driver to and from the retreat, one of them last minute when our other driver didn‘t show. There‘s only one house for guests, so you‘ll stay there alone. The caretaker cooked typical local dishes for breakfast and dinner which were super tasty!

The Boundary Yala is located in Kataragama and features a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service.

The Boundary Yala is located almost right outside the national park which is great for driving out in the morning. Kapila and Nirosha, the couple owning the place, go out of their way to make the possible impossible. As I arrived late, we were in regular contact and they waited up for me. The rooms are basic, but have a great value for money. In addition, Nirosha, is cooking fresh local Sri Lankan food every night. It was super delicious. Just be aware that they charge extra for the meal. I booked the safari into Yala park through them and Kapila joined as our tour guide. He is really knowledgeable and passionate about nature, with a special fascination for birds. I also appreciated that I could store my luggage there during the day as I continued my journey in the evening. The couple even was so friendly and followed up that I made it save and sound to my next location.

It was a wonderful stay. The family who runs it was incredibly kind and helpful. We felt very comfortable. We had a beautiful terrace. The accommodation is very nicely furnished and absolutely clean. There was even a kettle and a fridge. We would have liked to stay longer. The safari that the owners organised for us was particularly good. They work with an extremely good guide who spotted every animal, no matter how small or large, that we would not have seen at first glance. A great experience! We saw several elephants, a leopard and lots of other beautiful animals.

Our stay at Villa Oasis was really a thrilling experience. It is a newly built villa in a calm and peaceful environment. The mango groves in this premises add a cooling effect and it ,in a dry and hot area like Kataragama, is a soothing effect indeed. The breeze coming across the small tank makes this cooling effect more. Restaurant established in this tank is very nice and foods provided are so tasty. Villa staff is so friendly and they helped us to prepare our Kiripidu Poojawa also. Thanks all. Villa oasis is a very good place to stay and enjoy a holiday.
