We received a very warm welcome from the owner and his staff when we arrived. The rooms were very spacious, clean and the showers were warm. The breakfast was excellent-there was always the option to chose between a traditional Sri Lankan and a more western breakfast. Both were great! The rooms look out on to a garden area and you can sit outside if you wish. The beach is only a short walk a way and the owner has a lot of helpful tips about where to go or even howvto get your laundry done. As a family we had a really relaxing and enjoyable time here. Highly recommendable!

The location is really beautiful. Our room was basic but was right at the beach so we weren’t complaining at all. Honestly, we would like to give a special thanks to Elil, who was amazing from start to finish. Always helping you with a smile and nothing was too much to ask. That pretty much sums up the place. Location is amazing and the staff seriously made the place even more beautiful.

We had an amazing time for our honeymoon at Uppuveli Beach by DSK and would come back. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and fully finished — with no construction ongoing during our 5 day stay. Everything was ready for a relaxing and comfortable stay, including rich breakfast and tasty food at the restaurant. But what truly made the difference was the people. The entire team went above and beyond to make us feel like 5-star guests every single moment. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality were outstanding — the kind that leaves a lasting impression. We may not remember every single name, but we do want to mention few : Ravi, Sanjay who prepared us wonderful romantic dinner at the beach, the restaurant team Prasanthan, Jhonsanth, Xithmi, Lakshan and then the bar team, Yojee,Haris, Jay, Pasindu, and the belldesk Tharshan, and front office Sathu — and really, all the staff deserve recognition. You made our stay unforgettable. A big congratulations to the hotel for having such an incredible team.

Had a great stay at C U Hostel! Location is perfect, so close to the beach where you may enjoy swimming, reading a book as well as find different options for food. The breakfast at hostel is also nice. Rooms are spatious enough, garden is really beautiful, dogs are to fall in love with and staff is great - informative, willing to help (all of them, but I'm specially thankful to Jackie, who is such a good man, with pure heart). All in all, very nice atmosphere, recommend staying there. PS. If you have chance, make an excursion to other villages and beaches from C U - the staff will help you with information and organizing transport.

Uthaya, the host, is great. She was kind, and always helped us out. The breakfasts are tasty and generous, and she even sourced fresh mackerel and prawns to make us two delicious and very good value dinners. This is a small guesthouse with 3 rooms and a shared terrace with your own seating area amongst the garden. It is quiet, walkable to Nilaveli beach and lots of food and drink options nearby. We had a large air-conditioned room which was spotless and comfortable, with mosquito nets, though we actually weren't bothered by them. Thank you!

Everything was just perfect! Quiet place close to a nice beach with a very shallow water. One can walk at low tide to Nilaveli beach (15 min walk). Brenda was a perfect, talkative and helpful host as well as an excellent cook. One can refill bottles with a drinking water at the property. Nice well equipped huts with comfortable bed. 10 and 15 min by tuk tuk to Upuveli and Trinco, respectively. Surprisingly no mosquitoes (the first place without them during our 3 weeks travels in Sri Lanka). If you look for peaceful quite oasis this place is for you. Highly recommended!
