Probably the best value for the money we got in Sri Lanka. The property is brand new, the rooms look like in a good 4+ star hotel (photos on the site don’t lie). Only a pool is missing, but there wasn’t much of a problem as the Nilaveli beach is only 5 minutes away on foot. The staff is super helpful and nice, the manager is always smiley!

The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of options. On a couple of days the hotel was very quiet, being off season but we were still presented with an excellent choice. The grounds are large and extremely well maintained. The swimming pool is very good with plenty of loungers. This was necessary as the season we visited is a time when the sea is on the rough side for swimming.

I had a wonderful stay here for two days. The property is simple yet elegant, with clean, comfortable rooms, cozy beds, and excellent attached bathrooms. Each room has a small outdoor dining table, which is a nice touch. The host, Udaya, serves delicious and affordable breakfasts and is very welcoming. I also had a great experience meeting the other guests, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Nilaveli in the future. Highly recommended!

Best guest house I stayed at in Sri Lanka so far. Probably the best place to stay in Trincomalee. Excellent value. The whole place is incredibly clean, tidy and hygienic. 10 second walk to a beautiful beach. The room is spacious enough to practice yoga/ exercise. The family owners are very kind, relaxed and accommodating. I felt really good here and wish I could have stayed longer. Rent your moto here, I didn’t even ask the price because I instantly trusted the owner when I met him and was given a fair rate when I checked out. I would come back here without a doubt. 100% book this place if you come to trincomalee.

Lovely huts in wonderful garden, full of chairs and hammocks to relax in. Each hut has its own little verandah. The huts are all individually beautifully and very creatively decorated, an unique experience! Owner Brenda does everything to make you feel at home, cooks delicious meals and speaks very well english. The beach is a stone throw away. It is a lagoon with (very) shallow water so safe for swimming, even for small children. Highly recommended!
