This is fabulous hotel on the edge of town - the staff were a highlight, from my checkin with Richard to the incredibly warm and helpful Tina and other receptionist from the UK, and really great bar staff Davide, Tito, and Tartour who were genuinely friendly and as interested in the landscape and all Svalbard has to offer. The company is fortunate to have such great staff! The hotel was perfectly cosy and inviting as were its staff! The n. lights can be seen from the back of the hotel - it was perfect.

Lovely hotel in an absolute prime location. The view from my room (top floor annexe) was breathtaking. The room itself was fantastic, simple but with everything you needed. Very clean, and cosy. The lobby was so inviting for a hot drink by the fire after being in the cold. The breakfast each morning was simple but very tasty and plenty of options. All of the staff that you encountered were cheery and friendly, and very helpful. I look forward to returning in the near future.

This is out of the grid place, i mean the whole island, not just the hotel, so expect the unexpected. But, great location, great food, great views (especially in the polar summer but even in winter, i managed to see a little bit of aurora) great staff, i had an issue that was in the end resolved quickly and professionally, definitely the right people in the right place, from the restaurant to front desk and housekeeping. That was my 3rd stay and i definitely will be back again. One of my favourite spots in the world. Not for the luxury ( i mean its definitely not a caribbean over the water hotel lol, and luxury means something different when its -20C outside), etc, but i think maybe the island itself, the people it attracts, and this hotel feels like home to me. This hotel has the best location, right in the center, just few steps away from the Svalbard butikken. The staff was lovely, very comfortable bed and the breakfast was amazing considering the location (really delicious pancakes!) :)

The accommodation was with snowshoe dogs, but luckily they didn't bark much. The only problem was that no one greeted us, no one was in the accommodation and no one even picked us up or answered our messages. Since it was unlocked, after an hour of waiting in the bitter cold outside, we finally climbed into the cabin and checked in. During the whole time, no one came, nor has anyone contacted us to this day. It was very strange, not even a welcome note, nothing. I have never experienced accommodation like this before.
