The kitchen was well equipped and we made dinner (there were four of us staying in the two cabins) and foraged for mushrooms and berries at the hosts encouragement and guidance. We also utilized the breakfast items and our leftovers to make omelettes in the morning before we left. We used the amazing sauna and small pond on the property in the evening. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were great and the sunrise was unbelievable. The mirrored cabins are not to be missed. We spent a LOT of time taking photos!

We came to Norway from New York for a family trip across country from Oslo to Bergen in April 2023 and we had booked in for a night at Tuddal Høyfjellshotel to break up the drive. It was our first trip to Norway and had no idea that we were going to have one of the absolute best experiences of the entire trip together there. The place is simply beautiful. The people there are incredibly attentive and helpful. The food at dinner and breakfast is world class. The location is stunning. As a personal side note to the owners: My father came to the U.S. from Kongsberg when he was in his very early 20’s and started his new life and family. Growing up in Southern California where my brother and I were exposed to a lot of the antique Scandinavian items, colors, and style. My father was a committed collector at flea markets and swap meets everywhere, and anytime he came across an old collectible related to his homeland, he would proudly bring it home and share the story of it with us, and then find a place to display it in their home. When we came into the main building to check in to our rooms, I told my 17 and 20 year old daughters, “this…this is the story your Grandfather was trying tell us with all those things”.

We liked the hotell very much, cosy and så many nice paintings and a good atmosfere in the hotell. Marvelous breakfast, nice large rom and good beds. We slept very well.
