Nestled between mountains and sea, Jumeirah Muscat Bay offers true tranquility and a great sense of escaping the everyday. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I picked the places I stayed at on my Oman road trip very carefully. All, were as expected and amazing in their own way, but the Fort Guesthouse was outstanding. The authenticity and location in a residential area off the Cornish was perfect. It was so nice to spend my first 2 nights in Oman in a place so comfortable and easy to walk around and begin the journey with peace and safety. Places to eat nearby and the fish market and the views of the sea. I was so totally happy there. PS I loved opening and looking out the windows and the WI-FI was so good.

Dinner was delicious and very reasonably priced. In the evening, there is a campfire and live music played on a traditional string instrument, which creates a wonderful atmosphere. The area also offers various activities such as cycling, kayaking, and hiking to Wadi Al Arbeein.
