I was looking for a quiet hotel to give myself some much-needed rest before traveling into the rainforest. This was exactly what I experienced at Fitzcarrald Hotel. A recently renovated campground situated in Iquitos, Retazos Eco Hotel features a garden. With garden views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The campground features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We had a nice stay here for x4 nights before our tour of the Amazon. It was nice to be somewhere peaceful so that we could properly relax & rest before our adventure. The hosts are very friendly too, the room was clean & the air conditioning & Wi-Fi worked well. The room was very clean, and it was a nice surprise to find a fridge, kettle, closed toaster and plates and cutlery. The host was super helpful and responded very quickly. He gave me a number for a moto taxi to the airport, who gave me a good price.
