The location around might seem a bit shady, but it's actually a guarded condo, so we felt super safe. The house is very big and offers all comforts. The rooms are small but very comfortable, and the living room and outdoor space are great for a lovely dinner with friends. We also used the pool, and the water was warm and clean. To top it all, the owner was the loveliest host we've met: he helped us get dinner ordered, as well as a taxi for the next day.

Fabiola, the owner, was always there to take care of you. They even took care of the other guests when I arrived early morning not making any noise to them. It has amazing views over the river. Conveniently located behind a fruit & vegetable market, it is also only a block or so from the scenic Malecon & the main historic plaza. The hostel is magical. The high-ceilinged rooms are completely covered with vividly coloured murals. It reeks of charm. We took a room with a private bathroom. It was huge & the one wall was solid window looking out onto the river. The room is well-appointed with a bar fridge, reading lamps, etc. linens & great wifi provided. The common room (where an excellent breakfast can be served) also has these amazing windows & views. Chip speaks English & he & Yessica have been in Iquitos a long while so can answer all questions.

Highly recommended!

They found a cake for my birthday and cooked cayman meat we found in the market. Made great Pisco Sours. Cleaned our clothes (which we desperately needed). Give them a try!
