Discovery Samal was our favourite place we stayed on our recent Philippine family holiday (of 5 hotels around the country). The Resort environment is stunning and the grounds are immaculate. The staff are super polite and friendly and nothing is too difficult for them. They come as soon as you ask them for a ride to go up to your room or down to the main beach. The way they are cultivating a coral reef is beautiful too! So many swimming options (2 pools or the beach) and also lots of food options. The Dinner Buffet and Cultural Show on at the weekends is excellent too! The Junior Suite room was HUGE and so comfortable (especially the bed) and we really appreciated the complimentary beach bag and sunscreen given on our arrival. We will definitely stay here next time we come to Davao and would highly recommend it to everyone! A+++

The architecture is genuis, and the value for money is very very good. Way better than other near-by options ;) If you are going to visit Samal and dont mind not living at the beach, this is the place to be! Smart tv, billiards, swimming pool, hot and cold water supplied right outside the room. You are free to cook your food on the grill or use the kitchen. Only problem is that there is no hot shower, but since there is a supply of hot and cold water right outside the room, this is not a big issue. The nice things about the place makes up for the lack of hot shower ;) Great price for a great place. Nice workers, and the owner is also nice and down to earth. 👍

Mia is the owner manager. She is very able and willing to solve every single problem. She did contact the driver to pick me up.The breakfast was delicious. During my holiday, there was a birthday party and they made me feel like someone of the family. I advise you to have this wonderful experience.

The owners and managers were extremely helpful. Super secure and safe also super close to Samal ferry crossing and airport which is ideal for exploring Davao and the garden city. Security is super tight and super friendly. Would definitely rebook in the future.

Its secluded, you can have the pool and the beach by yourself sometimes. Good customer service and foods were delicious.Just catch a ferry from the Insular waterfront hotel going to Chemas.
