Sometimes you forget how good and kind people can be — and then someone like Richard (Richard and Isabel are the owners) comes along and reminds you. I arrived early at 08:00, before check-in time, after a long night train. I was tired, confused, and had many concerns about my ski plans (we dont ski in Israel, and it was my first time). Then I met Richard at the reception. He noticed my stress and calmly said, "Why don’t we start with breakfast? Allow me to take care of your belongings untill the room is ready." He truly wrapped me in care and kindness — and it meant the world to me. All my questions were answered by Isabel, who gave me great recommendations and guidance. Richard shared helpful ski tips, and I even received a lovely Easter gift — a small egg filled with chocolates. The place itself is very clean, breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the only downside is the distance to the ski area, which can be a bit challenging. To summarize — I 100% recommend this place. Apartments at Gästhuset i Åre feature a TV, a seating area and cable channels. There is also a microwave. The bathroom has a shower. Free baby cots and chairs are available for guests on request. Wonderful location, big cosy rooms like home-away-from-home. Exceptionally good price/value-rate. Common room in basement is a life saver (because of weather!) while waiting the check-in. We recommend this place esp. for longer stay in Åre.

Located within 1 km of Åre Train Station and 1 km of Åre Torg in Åre, Mårtenlien Ski in Ski Out VM8 offers accommodation with seating area. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. The apartment also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We visited Åre for a week to ski in early April. The hosts were very flexible with the arrival time and communication was easy. The apartment was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was well equiped for home cooked meals. Remember to bring your own linens but you can also rent them from the host. MårtenLiens Gård is a walking distance away from the VM8 ski lift but unfortunately for us, there was no snow in the valley so we coudn't ski-in/ski-out. It is also a walking distance away from the the town with all the shops and restaurants. We had a rental car so having a car park was great.

Perfectly equipped kitchen, fireplace, bathrooms, towels, and bedding, everything was prepared as described. Beautiful views of Äre and the lake from the windows. Highly recommended. 11/10

The property was in a perfect location on the mountain, close enough for the going to the shops or the slopes but just far out enough where you can have a quiet night sleep. Also was such a cute cosy space where it felt very homely and is exactly what you need after a long day of being on the slopes.

The property is non-smoking and is located less than 1 km from Åre Torg. Absolutely loved staying here and could have easily stayed longer if we could have. We had such a lovely welcome with a package of cinnamon buns waiting for us which were amazing. The apartment was really clean, beautifully furnished with everything anyone would need and there was a lot of space for 4 of us! Breakfast included was at the bakery along the road which had a brilliant selection. I wish I could rate our stay higher than 10 😁
