We loved our stay and loved the staff, the breakfast and the room. The staff was so kind, professional and friendly. They helped us with any request we had. Everytime we came back from a long day exploring Sousse the staff always met us with a smile. Personally we loved the sound of the call to prayer in the early mornings! And seeing the cats roam around in the Medina. We loved that the hotel was inside of the Medina!

I was sold on Dar Hkaïem from the reviews here on Booking as well as on HostelWorld, and it certainly lived up to my expectations. Toutou is an incredible host who was flexible in allowing me to check in early, helped me arrange transport, cooked amazing breakfasts (and dinner) even during Ramadan when he himself was fasting. From the personalized cookies (amazing!) upon arrival to the moment I left and even beyond, it was clear that Toutou wanted to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. We even went to a café one evening with his friend and played card games, which was one of the highlights of my entire trip to Tunisia. As for the guesthouse itself, the decor is great, the space is clean, and my room was cute, comfortable, and safe. Centered around a center courtyard, there are only a few guest rooms (my first night, I was the only guest), a toilet, shower room, and small kitchen. I was also happy that my room was big enough to allow me to unroll my yoga mat with some space to spare. I have friends who live in Tunis and emphatically recommended Dar Hkaïem to them...and I recommend it to you, too!

The hotel was everything we hoped for and more. It is a very beautiful location and our room was exquisite. The food was amazing and freshly cooked. Our hosts were super helpful and we felt like family.

Very clean and well set up accommodation for families and couples. The owner is amazingly helpful, I would rather say whole family was nice. We came very late and he took us to a restaurant and it was closed! His wife cooked us food and refused to take money from us. Even the owner took me outside in his scooter to buy something from corner shop. I have visited more than 20 countries for holidays but God promise never seen anyone that helpful and welcoming. Thank you for being so kind 💚
