It was an incredible stay — the house is wonderful, and Yennie and her family are truly lovely and welcoming people. They helped me with everything, from reaching the homestay to organizing tours directly from there. The food is delicious, and I ended up eating all my meals there. I genuinely felt at home — definitely a hidden gem during my trip to Vietnam!

Really liked the beautiful garden, there is a clean swimming pool which made a difference on hot and humid days and the restaurant deck was also lovely - but most of all the staff is the best, always cheerful and pleasant! I enjoyed my stay at Phuong Thao Homestay and on the beautiful island An Binh so much that I extended it to over 2 weeks!  The homestay manager, his wife and sister - who speak very good English - together with the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The homestay is located about 3 km from the ferry to Vinh Long (10 minutes by bike). Nestled within a spacious, beautifully planted garden with lots of hammocks where you can unwind. My room (14) was in a "stone house" and I felt very comfortable in it - it was very quiet there.  Every morning, I was looking forward to the fantastic breakfast - in addition to the daily omelette with bread, you get a plate with different fruits. But the very best part - the different mouthwatering sweets 😋 every day. And to top it all, I could enjoy a swim in the pool surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the lodge that belongs to the homestay. Together, it was a wonderful start to every day :) The island An Binh is a scenic paradise, and exploring it by bike from the homestay was an adventure in itself. Short ferry trips to neighbouring islands and towns add to the charm of this wonderful location. I had a truly memorable time on the island and at this homestay. Upon my next visit, I will undoubtedly choose Phuong Thao Homestay again.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. This a very charming, characterful and attractive property with beautiful lush gardens. It's old but has been restored to a high standard. The (English speaking) owner was very quick to respond to any requests we had. We particularly liked the outdoor bathroom. It's a large property which does cater mainly to tour groups, including traditional local music in the evening. We were invited into the kitchen to help cook our evening meal which was great fun.
